  • hi
i recently put a claim in to my bank for bank charges back in march. went through the process and they credited my account with half the money giving me two months to accept or decline the offer. they said if they had nt heard within the two months they would asssume that i had declined. just wondering where i stand if the money that was credited has, how do i put it, been spent. can i just pay the money back into the account or will this affect my claim. daft i know. thanks

It wont affect your claim...once they have placed money in your account its yours..if you have never replied then dont worry about it an carry on for the rest of the amount.

Yes, but it will still be stayed until after the test case.

  • The halifax have been taking a few pounds less than they should have been (so they say) for my halifax home insurance- They have sent me a letter stating that the underpaid amount of £123.72 has been added to my mortgage balance- I do believe this amounts to fraudulent practice as it was done BEFORE any notification and is due to their own errors.
    AM I RIGHT?
  • My business bank LTSB have made me a final offer of £00.00 on the £5k claim I put in on the grounds that there charges are fair. Any advise would be appreciated, do I go straight to the courts or contact the financial ombudsman first?
