A good car for a short woman ?

Further to the manoeuvrability question, the Fiat 500 and the Punto (not sure about other models but guessing they do too) have something called 'city steering'.
I have joint problems and for me it is a brilliant feature. It's basically a button on the dash that lightens the steering so for tight turns and parking etc it is wonderful. The wheel is so light you can turn it with your little finger.0 -

The OP wants a small car for whatever reason - ease of parking or such at a guess - and happens to be short. Hence the question of which small cars are comfortable for short drivers.
Where does the OP say that (I haven't read beyond your post yet, so if she's said it after you posted, fine, but at the point you made this post, I can't see anywhere she's explicitly said "I want a small car").0 -
. Ive found cars like an seat ibiza and corsa have always been ok.
I am now driving a Fiat Panda and I can't have the seat as far forward as I like to reach pedals comfortably as the steering wheel would be in my chest. I also find the pedals a strange angle and journeys of more than twenty minutes my right ankle is painful and I feel the need to stretch it. I need to have my legs further away from the pedals so my foot is not bent up. I see they sell pedal extenders for this so it can be overcome, I also get the seat belt cutting into my neck if I don't have a thick coat on. I believe I can get something for that too.
so most problems can be overcome.0 -

I can't see it either.
At the moment we are left suggesting cars suitable for a short woman, not suggesting small cars.0 -

Justin - here is a little tip for you.
That stick thing between the seats is called a gear stick. Use your left hand to change out of second and you will be able to go a bit faster than 35mph!
You will also find that the noise levels inside the car will reduce, and you won't have to stop for fuel at every garage.
I guess you took your test in an auto.
If they told you that D was for day driving and N for night driving, I afraid they were taking the ****!0 -
I don't drive a Jazz....
I have taken 3 driving tests, all in manuals, and passed them all first time, and am a professional driver and ex adi.
But thanks for the laugh0 -
I'm only little and the only car I couldn't get in with was the Ford Focus because even with adjusting the seat I found I couldn't see out the back windows!
Other than that I've driven happily:
Fiesta
Escort
Vauxhall cavalier
Micra
Vauxhall Astra
Peugeot 206 both normal and Estate versions0
