A good car for a short woman ?

I'm 5' and learnt to drive in a Yaris with no issues. Drove my parents' smart forfour around and I found it fantastic. Got an old Merc A-Class and it wasn't great, even with the seat fully forward my legs were pretty stretched. I had no problems with the pedals, but it certainly elongated my legs longer than others. Currently have a Mazda 2 and also had no problems.0

Thanks
Darkmatter and his various AEs have proved that several times...0 -

Although plenty of cars that aren't the best for tall people.
Years ago I wanted a Hyundai Coupe, unfortunately I couldn't fit in one with a sunroof fitted. I was fine with the non sunroof model, however all the ones I could find at the time were 1.6s so no chance.0 -

Being able to drive almost any car is just about adjusting the seat properly. She's yet to find one she can't drive.
This with the other comments about towing trailers is a bit odd. How does attaching a trailer change how far forward the seat can go/ how the pedals & steering wheel are aligned etc?
Mrs is also a very confident driver and has driven tiny cars and trucks but being 5' she does find some cars much more comfortable to drive than others from the perspective of being able to rest her foot on the pedals with flat shoes on without having to be squished into the wheel
The issue has very little to do with the size of the car itself and some of the worst have been small cars and some of the best large vehicles.

It reinforces the point of how comfortable they are driving a big car despite being a small woman, they can drive a big car AND tow on top of that.
Thought that was pretty obvious to be fair.0 -
The size of the car has no impact on the size of the driver. My sisters under 5ft and driven all sorts of vehicles.
Little Daewoo Matiz through large family cars to Range Rovers and other larger 4x4's.
Seats and steering adjust to suit.
So what else do you need from a car? Im going to recommend a Mondeo because well they are good and do almost everything.

I love my little Getz, squeak and all, but I also love OH's Almera. Granted neither are huge but I'm 5ft on the button.
I've also driven vans with no major issues.

I think you get more issues with being too big for a car , anyone else 6 "2 and tried to drive a Pug 106 ? you ended up tickling your ears with your knees and pressing all three pedals at onceNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

A short friend has just bought a VW up and loves it. You say it will do little milage so most important is to go for a PETROL model.0

Eh? Isn't it obvious? I was making the point that my short-arsed wife is perfectly happy driving anything of any size, and that she's confident enough to not only drive the car but tow things as well.
Maybe there are cars out there that she couldn't drive because she couldn't get comfortable, but she's not been confronted with one yet. She gets in, adjusts the seats, and drives; big or small, petrol or diesel, auto or manual, towing or solo - she just gets on with it.0
