    Hiya everyone

Valli - hope your DD had a wonderful birthday _party_

JTTOU - thanks, I know I get in a muddle but now it seems I'm going backwards as well :rotfl:

Minerva - the flat looks lovely and light - but OM didn't realise a leasehold costs that much in London now

CY - fingers xd for DD2's fianc! and BOO to the news on the flat

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one

Monday Rooms of Doom and Bathrooms
    DONE

Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    DONE

    Wednesday - Living Room
    Hoover floors

Thursday - Master bedroom and Landing
    DONE

    Friday - Spare Bedroom
    DONE

I have three loads of washing to do tomorrow and the living room floor.

I've tried to get ahead this week as I need to go up town the morrow with lots of little bits - banks, post office, jewellers repair shop et al.

Also want to try to do a bit more decluttering - maybe the horrible drawer in the unit in the living room - and have an hour to myself for a long bath, hair wash and manicure :j

We will see how it pans out ;)

((hugs)), sticks and spoons to all needing some

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday

The money is still on the table and I can see the scooter tracks in the snow on our drive. Why is my young son so careless with his life?

My stomach is upset. I've not had alot of sleep. I'm sitting on the kitchen sofa feeling fragile. The dog is my hot water bottle. I don't think I'll make work today, I'll try to get on with some decluttering if I feel better later.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning everyone

Not managed to post much this week but flying has been done.

    Was thinking of Diva

Bedroom and dailies done yesterday then lunch and shopping with DD.
I am so proud of her. She has lost 6 pounds and the doctor is pleased with her. She was so excited when she told me. It's given her incentive to carry on.

CY Positive vibes for DD2s fianc! today.

Big hugs for those not feeling great.

    Hugs,spoons and sticks where needed.

    Morning all

Hugs all round. I too is stressed, coldsore virus coming up again onmy finger to prove this. Had a big row with DS1 last night as he wants to resign as he doesn't like his job, he does not have a new plan though. Was texting with Mum until 11pm.

Still Pilates this morning and then a cuppa in the pub, they are such a lovely group who welcomed me in when I joined there class in September. Need to stop at Mr L on the way home.

Today's flying is to be tidying and dusting, not too taxing but hopefully can make a difference.

Take care if you have snow.

JTTOU and Mumto5 hope your sons are ok.

CY I'll have my fingers crossed for the interview.

  • Mumto5 it's horrible when our kids don't take our advice, hope you feel better as the day goes on.

Snow day today, school is closed, YAY :) so will get all uniforms washed today to give me a free weekend, well apart from 2hrs walls climbing (DS1) 3hrs bag packing (DS2) and a wedding fayre (DD professional reasons) weather permitting on all.

Boys and hubby still in bed at the moment, DS1 watching some film and DS2 asleep, his eye was hurting him last night, so letting him sleep as long as possible. DD stopped her bf's last night, so has more chance of getting into work, as we live on bad bend of narrow country lane and always seem to be hit best/worse with snow :)

De-cluttered 4th bookcase last night, so only have one more to do. Going to concentrate on boys bedrooms today, but not washing bedding, as not needed, but will go though drawers etc and have good sort out while they are with me.

Then time & motivation willing, might tackle a bit of DD's room while she's at work, but she did tell me she sorted through her drawers to the other day.

Since I joined since group, I have noticed everyone else is helping to keep the place tidy more, so it much be catching.

Have read the thread on KonMarie, but like a few others decided its not for me, so just neat drawers but no rolling!

Sending good luck vibes, get well vibes and hugs to all who need, smiles for everyone, please pass on :)
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

    Morning all

CY, I'm sorry you, your DD2 and DD2F are having a bad week. Fingers and everything else crossed for DD2F, and calming vibes to you all.
Well done to all Flyladies who have been flying enough to cover my absence :o
Hope your DD had a happy birthday, Valli.

Woke up at 4.30 and couldn't get back to sleep  so have updated accounts and switched gas and electricity :money:

Yesterday afternoon the snow was coming down by the bucketful so I didn't go hospital visiting - I'd also still got a bit of the migraine hanging on, as they usually do :( and was hoping that an hour's sleep would declutter it. At 4.00 pm I received a phonecall which I expected to be from my friend to say that she was being moved to the nursing home we had chosen on Wednesday. However, it turned out to be from the nursing home - someone I'd not dealt with previously - saying that the manager had asked him to ring me to say that they could not take my friend after all. Apparently their staffing levels are "insufficient to ensure her safe discharge". This was, to say the least, a bit of a surprise after we had described her care needs in great detail to the nursing manager when we had visited the home!

So we are back to square one  I should have gone to choir practice yesterday evening (the snow had stopped by then) but instead spent several hours looking through all the CQC care home reports and checking the routes by public transport, trying to sort out which are accessible for my friend's son. The result is:

    - Home "C" is about 20 minutes' bus ride away, with one change; this was rated in May 2014 as meeting all standards in two of the five CQC areas but requiring improvements in the other three. It does currently have vacancies but is shut down because of an outbreak of norovirus, so I'm keeping well away
    - Home "W" is under 30 minutes' bus ride away, with one easy change, but has not been inspected by the CQC since a change of ownership in Jan 2014
    - Home "N" is an hour's bus ride away, but at least it's on a direct route; in Feb 2014 it met all standards in all five CQC areas
    - Home "A" is just over an hour's bus ride away, with one change; in July 2014 it met all standards in four of the five CQC areas but required improvements in the other one.

I suppose I should be grateful that we might have 4 options open to us, but I don't yet know whether W, N or A actually have any vacancies atm. Phonecalls will begin at 8.45 to the manager of the home that doesn't want to take my friend, then the social worker at the RHA, then the other homes. I shall visit as many of them as possible today, but DH and I are going away for the weekend and have already had to postpone our departure until after lunch because of this "slight glitch"... :( I also have to find time to pick up his birthday present - if it's ready yet

I am trying to keep calm for DH's sake. From what he told me yesterday, his BD is causing him more trouble than he had previously let on :(

To finish on a slightly better note, there has been no news since Monday about baby Anna, and her father emailed me on Tuesday about some business matters, so I am hoping that no news = good news.
  • Morning everyone.

Lynne - I wish I could go backwards this week - then I may achieve something fly wise!!!
Dusty thanks - apparently not much and still not spoken to him but hope for a call today - think he is working too hard and perhaps stressing about job - I know I am. Hope your Mum is continuing to improve.
CY - best wishes for DSF job interview.

Have just done my t shirts konmarie style and they fit in the space much better. I am also hoping they won't be as creased when I shake them out - sometimes I wonder why I bother to iron them! Took opportunity to clear some that are too large - even though as new. All my skirts are too big now but am trying to find ways to alter without a machine or excessive cost. Still losing weight but am trying and it could also be worry.

It looks quite grey out - just need to pop to shops for milk and to spend about £7 in Mr T to get the next level of points off petrol!

    Take care everyone.

Oh ionafan I hope something pops up quickly for your friend so you can all relax and you can get off on your break. It's horrible having to make such decisions on behalf of someone xxx

Hugs also to flymums supporting struggling flykids xxx

We are having another rest day. DD cried on the way home, I'd lifted her up to avoid a frozen pile of mud and all I said was "oh look you've dirtied my trousers" and she was distraught. Eventually the wailing changed from "I didn't mean to" into "I need a nap with my blankie" aww. It's not like I even told her off - it was barely a passing comment. Tired out.

So we are watching Cinderella and she's in her sleeping bag, lol. And I have a lovely big :coffee: and we have nowhere to go until school pickup :T

Jobs today include doing my room and the spare bed, some laundry and I'm making fakeaway tonight. Will do an assortment so everyone has a favourite included.
