Snow has been here. Not set. It's back again but think it'll die back and come to nothing.

  • Absolutely fuming, just been to pick boys up from school, DS1 had to miss piano lesson as snow finally starting to come down. DS2 gets in car, with watery eye. I assumed he'd been hit with a snowball. He then bursts into tears, he was hit accidentally 3 lessons ago, had a further 2 lessons, he can't open his eye, and 2 teachers have given him no care or attention what-so-ever. So been straight onto phone to school, who have phoned back and said they will speak to 2 teachers and hope DS2 is alright. He's still on settee with hubby and DS1, with eye pack, but feel its too late really to be doing anything apart from calming him down!

Bedroom Half done, and that will do. ;)

DD taken to and from uni a few times, and this morning after dropping her off, I went into town. It was brilliant dazzling sunshine, could only see silhouettes of people in from of me, quite spectacular. Very chilly too.

Online shopping done, and I've been thinking about lesson plans for next week. Although it's not one of my days, I'm going into school tomorrow to prepare.

    Love, hugs, sticks and spoons.

    Lovely to see you LadyLiberty

Frizzle - sorry for late reply, just got on computer. I'm sure you can substitute nuts. I don't put any nuts in at all because I don't like them. I just add up the total amount of fruit/nuts and use that amount of mixed dried fruit. It seems to be a very forgiving recipe and it keeps well.

    Good evening

I just wanted to drop by and say thank you to everyone for you kind comments and thoughts today. Thank you to everyone who has lit candles, real and virtual. Special thanks to Kaz and Kathy. Its fantastic to know that Divas memory lives on.

I do still look back at the comments and love that was flowing when Diva first died, they really helped then and now.

Four years have passed and life has got easier. I have almost sorted everything that Diva had and will soon be able to hand back the keys to my storage unit. In true MSE style I did negotiate a price match!

Whilst I could never be a Flylady I do try to live a MSE life. Diva used to tell me off if I left lights on in the house and would stand in an empty room where a light was left on calling out "Hello"! Even now I do the same in my head when I see I have left a light on in an empty room. (Then switch it off of course!)

After Diva died I knew I wanted to do something positive with her belongings that I had to pass on and I made the choice to donate to the British Heart Foundation. I can claim Gift Aid so everything they sell of Divas in the shop earns an extra 25%. Up to date Divas things have raised £1177.74, thats £1,472.18 with Gift Aid.

Thank you once again for keeping Divas memory alive.

  • Apologies I haven't been around much lately - I am trying to break bad habits of spending too much time on the internet (especially at work) so have neglected this place a bit. Been keeping up with the dailies but not doing the list so going to do what I can in the next couple of days - we're off to OH's brother this weekend so won't be able to get much done then.

Also had our meeting with the mortgage adviser this evening - bad news is we can't afford the house his grandparents own, but the good news is we could in theory get a very good mortgage deal that would be much less than we pay now. We were looking at flats this weekend and OH has fallen in love with this place: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-46746661.html which I really like too so think we will see about whether we want to make an offer on it. Things are moving quicker than we thought!

  • EM - sadly yes. Granted it's a nice area, unusual house etc but the prices are ridiculous. Hopefully we might be able to haggle it down slightly if we went for it though...
