Good luck with the flat m_w.
DD2's fianc! has an interview tomorrow morning. any flylady vibes much appreciated.
Phonecall at 4pm left them totally deflated. At the 11th hour the mortgage company have said there is a problem with the lease and they cannot move forward. DD2 in bits. It's only 12 days since their engagement. Life can be so cruel.
Much flying to do tomorrow. Have to sort out packing for trip to Didcot. Really don't want to go. Just want to curl up in a ball with the family ...
Off for a bath then a bottle of wine. Cannot describe how c*** I feel tonight.
Stay safe fellow flyladies..:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Sorry to hear that CY - hopefully they'll find something else soon. Evening all
Day has passed with little flying other than the dailies. Did hospital visit, snapped at all the kids tonight.
Going to deal with the chicken soup I'm cooking in the hope Mum will eat it in a day or so and then heading off to bed.
Hugs all round. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Make time for somebody else, a child, a pet, a friend - in memory of our friend Diva
I've definitely done this today! DD has bossed me all day and loved it. We played mousetrap, watched her favourite Barbie film (groan), dressed all her dolls and had a "tea party". She also played in the snow and made biccies. Tonight we've built lego with DS and they have both read to me.
Other than cooking and wiping around the kitchen I've done little else.
It's been bl00dy lovelyBossymoo

Just dropped in exhausted; did 7 one-hour 1:1 teaching sessions today back to back; one break just long enough to rush to the loo as 1 student was 10 mins late; another of 20 mins as one student had to leave early to catch bus and the next one was late. Got home via a small blizzard, now melted, and fell asleep on sofa.
The only flying I've done is to cook the dinner and clean the bathroom handbasin.
Pigpen your docs sounds worse than ours which seems to be going through a bad phase. On the 3rd visit to collect a certificate on tues (it was finally there and correct), Mr N asked if his recent blood tests had arrived. Receptionist checked "Oh yes, there's a note here saying contact the patient". Mr N looked expectant of information. Blank look back. She offered him an appointment on each of 2 days I have to work (he's not driving yet and surgery is 6 miles round trip 2 villages down). He asked if it was about the one blood level which had prolonged his hospital stay. She couldn't say. She said she'd email the doctor to see if Mr N really needed to visit or whether doc could phone. Mr N phoned surgery yesterday. No news. Ditto today. Made appt for Monday week which is when his next certificate is needed. Let's hope either the doc will read emails by then, or it isn't serious. Sigh.
Anyway not nocturnal tonight as shattered. Poor sleep last night; power cut 1am and couldn't sleep for worrying whether I'd wake up if radio alarm wasn't working. Went downstairs to set alarm on mobile phone 3am. Ate. Played Candy Crush. Got up 8am in a coma. Did horse. Back to beginning of posting re. work.
Good night. I'll be lively tomorrow...........Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Good evening
I just wanted to drop by and say thank you to everyone for you kind comments and thoughts today. Thank you to everyone who has lit candles, real and virtual. Special thanks to Kaz and Kathy. Its fantastic to know that Divas memory lives on.
I do still look back at the comments and love that was flowing when Diva first died, they really helped then and now.

Four years have passed and life has got easier. I have almost sorted everything that Diva had and will soon be able to hand back the keys to my storage unit. In true MSE style I did negotiate a price match!
Whilst I could never be a Flylady I do try to live a MSE life. Diva used to tell me off if I left lights on in the house and would stand in an empty room where a light was left on calling out "Hello"! Even now I do the same in my head when I see I have left a light on in an empty room. (Then switch it off of course!)
After Diva died I knew I wanted to do something positive with her belongings that I had to pass on and I made the choice to donate to the British Heart Foundation. I can claim Gift Aid so everything they sell of Divas in the shop earns an extra 25%. Up to date Divas things have raised £1177.74, thats £1,472.18 with Gift Aid.
Thank you once again for keeping Divas memory alive.
Every time Aunt Sally's apple cake is mentioned we think of her.. it has been renamed here.. Divas Aunt sallys apple cake..
You were very blessed to have her in your life. I think of her often xxx

I feel rather humble skimming through the posts. I looked forward to Diva's post when I looked in on the morning (after her obviously as I'm not an early bird). She is missed and remembered.
My world is forever changing. I don't know what way is up at the moment.
WM is playing up and dog is up chucking on her bed.
It's snowing here now, DS3 has driven to work on his moped. I've left £30 on the table and begged him, by text, to get a cab home.
CY good interview vibes for DD2's fianc!.0 -
Elastic - ended up phoning 111 and being advised to take him a&e straight away, they gave him a local for his eye, some ointment to come home with, a letter will be written for school, even more serious now. Little love was so brave.
CY - hope interview for DD2's fianc! goes well.
Narco & Pigpen - good luck with doc's.
Hugs and smiles, to all who need and wantLoving life to the full, just need purse full too
