Glass-finding vibes and I seem to remember you've pee'd on sticks but is it now time to go to the next stage of the nuclear options?

OH has college interview on the 11th .. see, my badgering pays off sometimes!

Went to Tesco purely to get out of the house.. freezers filled and fruit bowls.. nothing else was needed really. We did discover blue labels on shelves indicate product recall.. nice to know.

I meant what we used to have to do to find out if we might be in an interesting condition before pee-sticks were invented.

I hardly dare say the word, but as you've been talking about AF being absent for several months ....

Frizzle this is a recipe I make a lot which is very easy and uses lots of fruit, I normally just use Asda smartprice mixed fruit in it.

  • Going to read and run because if I sit here too long I will lose the inclination to do anything.

Have just had a mad 10 minutes throwing the tennis ball down the hall for the dog. He is driving me batty at the moment because he wont go for walks. I put on my coat, boots, hat and gloves. Check I have got doggie bags, put his lead on, get out of the drive and he stops dead. Nothing will make him go out, not coaxing him with favourite treats or being firm.

Anyhow, have done the boys bedrooms, and dusted/hoovered our bedroom. Weather is really grim here, very windy and cold with snow forecast.

    Right, living room..
  • Just risked life and limb going for a walk to the shops - directly into force*** gale! I need my ballast back please!
Picked up some reduced burp cloths for ndn sis baby shower in Mr T and celery to make soup for tomorrow and rest of week's lunch - yum! Is it just me but in our metro there seem to be so many half price and reduced to clear items - must take a trip to the big store this weekend!!!

Take care in this weather. x

Exhausted after school, so flying postponed until energy rediscovered.

Unexpected staff briefing this morning - actually not Ofsted, but DfE inspectors in next Wednesday. I doubt there's any difference except we get a little more time to stress, overwork and panic. While I have technically finished for the week, I shall go in on Friday to help make sure we're as ready as we can be. I doubt much flying will be done until it's over, bar the essentials.

    Love, hugs, sticks and spoons.
Happy to read good news about your mum dusty

Oh sweet Jesus! The mother in law has been decluttering again but she's brought all of her !!!! to my house and given it to my husband who won't say no to anything! I've just found 3 tiny and completely useless bowls in the cupboard which I want to empty to create a dog cupboard so her stuff isn't all over the place. I went into great detail with her last night about WHY I didn't want her tiny screwdrivers here and was not just going to put them in one of the 3 drawers I have here. Bleeping woman does my bleeping head in!
*And, relax! Sorry for the rant :o

    Tardy lateness here again.
Hope all are as well as they can be, I am going for a back read in a mo
DS2 has done something to the puter so I can't get tinterweb to open, I'm using iPad and being Annoyed, hopefully DD2s fella will fIx it at the weekend.
Did mils cleaning this morning and am reasonably keeping up with my own. As well as knitting at knit to stay in front on the blanket squares.
Wondering if we'll get the promised/threatened snow tonight, how you read that depends on your love or hate of the White stuff.
Just going to put a veggie lasagne together for tea then I'll call it a day and start knitting.
Hugs where needed I'm sure there are a few.

Your post made me smile kaz, why do other people try and fob carp onto others instead of dealing with it themselves, she could either donate it to a CS or bin it instead of cluttering you up with it.

Kaz, my parents used to turn up with a car load of carp every time they visited for years after I bought this house. I'm STILL, more than a decade after they both died, turfing their stuff out of the attic. It went from store in London, to a barn in Kent, to a loft on a farm in Devon, back to Kent but in a cellar that time, and has now ended up back in an attic on the other side of Devon. None of it has been used or useful for over 50 years. I'm so !!!!!! off with it all, still bogged down by 'But it's worth a lot' and fed up with being stuck with it and by it. Please, please don't let yourself be cluttered by your MiL - if OH wants the stuff it can surely go in his man drawer or man-cave? OH's two flowing heaps in the attic have neither grown nor shrunk since he moved in over 20 years ago! (And he has a shed, a man drawer and his own office all of which are stuffed full of 'useful' things.)
    Better is good enough.
