A certain MSC is doing my head in with their constant phone calls. I groan every time I see 'Malaysia' on the screen of my phone. I've started to ignore them now, as they are often over-persistent and won't take 'no' for an answer. When I'm available to do a shop, I prefer to look online and apply. If there's a job in my area that I haven't applied for, it means that I don't want to do it for whatever reason. They're pestering me at the moment to do a job that I've already had to cancel and explained to them why. It's the DIY one, which I've done for them a lot, but the shopping list was going to be too heavy for me this time i.e. 3 large bags of sand. I know it's the same assignment as the missed calls are followed up by texts and emails. At one stage, they were offering top dollar bonuses for this client when they were getting desperate. Now it's half as much and bizarrely going up and down like a yo-yo each time they contact. Very strange.

Seems to be a different team managing the UK now. Used to be Australia. They also have definitely got tighter with the premiums.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

I have noticed that some MS companies that do not have self-allocation ask you to write a brief note to support your application, does anyone know what to write in this space to ensure successful placement?

The battle of the supermarkets isn't being done on service, it's prices and while the Euro Cheapies wipe the floor with the big four then no one gives a stuff about service.

I agree that service isn't the priority, but the big mistake that financial journalists and people who don't use them make is to assume the German supermarkets are all about price. Even the widespread use of the phrase 'discount supermarket' implies that.

The reality is that they both, particularly the one that pretty much only has own brands, compete very well on quality. Their fruit, veg and especially meat, is better than their competitors most of the time.

For the most part, they don't want an essay. I just have a stock phrase I paste in for most things along the lines of:

"Experienced shopper for x years. Shops completed in the following sectors..... Own video shopping kit BU13+18, PV500 EVO"
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
  • Hi guys, could anyone please tell me how to record GFK phone call assignments?
I need to complete one today and there are no instructions anywhere.

If you login to GFK and go to the tab 'My Details' and scroll down there is a link to Telephone Recording with a PDF to download.

Good luck as I have yet to get the recording to work as I have a call blocker on my line which the GFK system don't seem to like.

I don't have this information in My Details, that is the problem.
They said that the calls would not need to be recorded from September, so maybe they removed the PDF prematurely.
I sent them an email yesterday, but they haven't answered yet, because of the bank holiday probably.
Do you still have the instructions by any chance?

Otherwise I think I would complete the visit without recording it, because the fee is quite good and it is their fault that the instructions are not there anymore.
