I've finally worked out why it's called mystery shopping.

Because after watching the staff, the stock, the queues, it's generally an utter mystery to me what I've picked up whilst walking round the shop.

Or is that another case of "No.... it's just me that does that"

On the plus side. Mmmmm, fudge bars, haven't had one of these since I was about 10.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

I thought that about those loan assigments in your own home. Complete P take for the fee involved. Agree would need to be ten times the fee as these types of reps will be difficult to get rid off and the follow up calls they make, will be hard to shake off

bad report - they know where you live

It seems that ESA specialise in these sort of jobs. I have just done one of their so called 'quick' audio visits to a bank as a 'trial'. Jury is out for me on whether the fee was worth the faff in the end ie scanning numerous documents both front and back, making sure the audio device was working and worked in the branch, upload the audio and then send the audio device by SD.

I am doing another one next week which involves a full monty interview on a higher fee - so will reserve judgement.

Perhaps it just me, but I do find that ESA jobs often are more complicated, than the brief implies.
  • I do find the gapburger ones off putting now, when they go OTT with the cleaning and actually come into the toilets with you to clean around you as you wait for a cubicle. Its really uncomfortable

Yes, most of us get the floor show at one stage or another.
  • I don't mind the usual floor show, I am happy that all those kids around me get balloons :D its just being swept around when using the loo would make anyone uncomfortable!

I dont do these jobs, but you can easily get the floor show by going in on your own, ordering the meal and asking for receipt. Did it last year miles away from home on away footy game, very amusing to see.

I am intrigued as to what they will do when more of their outlets move over to ordering on a touch screen- where you instantly get a receipt.

But you'll still be ordering from the counter, not the kiosk, so there'll be no change - unless they do away with customer service totally and just operate burger bingo (calling out the receipt number anf handing over the food)!

The best floor show I ever got was during a breakfast job - I got a complimentary 2nd coffee, was offered a newspaper, and my tray was cleared for me while I was still seated; the window I was looking out of was cleaned inside and out (but the one next to it still had a big streak of big poo on it) , the mop came under the partition wall as I sat on the loo , 2 staff members rushed to open the door for me and there in the car park was the managaress sweeping the carpark round my car!

You know how in TV shows like Downton Abbey, all the staff line up outside the house to wave the family off on their way? I was honestly expecting that as well!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
