We need specialist winter sports cover which bank account insurance doesn't cover. But also, we tend to do alot of activity based things.
I'd rather over budget for it anyway. If we get a joint annual one then at least we don't need to worry for another year. We do intend to do a few little trips next year over summer if we get chance because it'll be a break for me before I start my 'proper' job (fingers crossed I get one).
Anyway, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. At least I know my totals are approx anyway! So I won't panic just yet.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

It'll be fine, just don't spend the total because that's what's budgeted. if you'll use the cover then I wouldn't worry about it.
I've never been ski-ing or anything, I'd probably break something!!Current debt - £16,300

Ok so our talk talk go live date was yesterday.
Phone and internet work fine. Problem being that I can't get the wireless security wep key set up - so I can't use the internet because it's not secure. Doh! So I'm using someone elses.
Anyway, I have bought all the ingredients for tea for the week (£35 total), but had to buy a few extra bits and bobs such as spices etc that we didn't have. Also bought some herb plants so we can hopefully have fresh herbs. I've never cooked any of the dishes I'm cooking this week before so it should be very interesting.
Anyway, I also thinking about buying stuff to make cookies and cakes with now in a bid to stop my partner paying a fortune on stupid stuff at the shop all because he's gone for biscuits and things catch his eye.
Thats all from me cos I gotta dash...I will be good this week though!!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Right my latest update!
Ok so I've not been able to post much, thanks to Talk talk messing up our internet...hmmm...yes, all the stories do seem to be true in my case. But just because I've not been posting doesn't mean that the money saving has stopped.
I have been rather good, I like to think. I have been doing meal plans on a weekly basis. So we buy all our fruit and veg at the weekend from the market where it's healthier and cheaper (and comes without all the unnecessary packaging).
Also, managed to spend rather alot on furniture for kitting out the office (or back bedroom as an office if you want to get picky). Both of us will be studying this year, me as a trainee teacher and him as an Environmental Science student. So we will both need our own working areas, fingers crossed we get it finished soon then eh!
Just one wall left to paint, because it needs repapering. Then, the woodwork needs painting then we can construct the furniture....woo! Anyway, that is all paid for now, and just needs the time to be given over to it.
Enrolled at uni today, and have managed to spend only £1, I left my drink on the side so I had to buy one...doh! Did bring all my own food though - yey me!
Anyway, should go really and figure out what it is I need to get done over the next couple of days. Keep on saving!!!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Congrats on enrolling. It's just the start you know!
Pleased to hear that the money saving is going really well. I fell off the wagon a little, but I am still here! And I have a plan!!
So when is you first lecture? I bet your really looking forward to it.Current debt - £16,300

Right, the home internet access has been restored! Woo hoo! No thanks to talk talk.
I'm back at uni 3 days a week and am on placement in a school 2 days a week (for a while at least). So I'm busy busy busy.
Anyway, I better update all my figures.....Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

After updating my figures I seem to have pretty much remained unmoved....but I'm not too upset by that since I had to buy loads of furniture to kit out the office so my fella and I can have our own seperate desks.
Anyway, put 13 books on ebay last night to sell. One has a watcher already so fingers crossed!! I'm hoping that they all sell, even if they don't net me much of a profit at least I'll have that shelf back!
And I updated the electric meter reading online and we only used £18.75 of electricity last month...I'm pretty chuffed with that...yey us! Updated the gas too but that one doesn't tell you the values in moneytary (spelt wrong I'm sure) terms.
And I get my bursary in by the end of the week, so hopefully I might even have some money! Woo hoo. Although I checked the price of the lift passes last night and they are £329 each....hmmmm.....Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Right decided to be very good and do a food budget log for the month to see how much we spend on food in a month!
Week 1: £17.77 (so far)!
Trouble is I know we are having take out on Friday so that will get added on too! Hmmmm....nevermind.
Still, at least I'm too busy to spend now....which reminds me....going to go and check ebay!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Walked home to save my bus fare, but I got soaked.....so it's a mixed bag.
Also, got a phone call from the wedding venue place to arrange a meeting which for some reason has worried me. I'm sure it's only to check numbers but who knows.
I'm in a bit of a stress this afternoon. Just wondering how we are going to cope with all the payments we have to make this month. Mind you, once it's done and we are through this rough patch, things will definately look better.
I'm just being grumpy I think.
Got to spend money buying a shredder and an A3 lamenating machine this weekend and other stupid bits of stationary. Could do without it, but need them.
Going out to comedy shows the next 2 nights. The tickets were bought and paid for months ago so I have nothing to worry about in that respect...woo hoo.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
