Hmm...out delivering furniture with my dad all day tomorrow. My mum usually goes with him, but she has somewhere to be so I have volunteered as a way of spending time with my dad and preventing myself spending money!

I get all my food and drink thrown in too and a mini trip round the country....woo hoo! Road trip fun!

Also, just checked bank balance and FINALLY got the £170 refund from BT!! Woo hoo! My partner was one upon a time in charge of the phone bills, and he'd been over paying for months!

Right, time for bed on a positive note me thinks.

So I managed to spend £0 yesterday!! Woo hoo!

And we got our letter through from Scotish power about changing the electricity which means the ball is now rolling which is always a good thing. Just need to wait for news of the gas change over now!

I resisted the urge to purchase magazines at EVERY service station yesterday which was incredibly difficult at one point. But still, it's all over now and I have plenty of jobs to do today to keep me busy and away from money spending.

Cleaning and tidying mainly. My friend wants to meet up later too for a catch up. And I managed to convince her we should go to her house to save money! Ha ha... So after starting the week in a naughty fashion, I'm behaving myself big time now!! Yey.

Yeah but mine is a Mac PowerBook G4. And it's super sexy and I love it as though it was my child so I'd never sell it anyway.

But I do feel like I've scarred it for life somewhat....waaaa

Oh dear!! I bought mine when I was at uni in 2002, it's been in Iraq and I'm not into computers, so could probably take much better care of it. But so long as it works I'm happy. I only really use it for surfing the net (slowly)

Ok, so I don't want to tempt fate but everything seems to be running pretty smoothly with regard to the change overs we are having.

Changing from (evil) Npower to Scotish Power for electricity, all seems to be going well there (although I think we owe Npower money - doh!), communication a plenty and we are happy so far. Although change over won't be until September.

Changing from (evil) Npower to Atlantic for gas, and just received confirmation that the change over will be on the 5th Sept (and Npower owe us money....yey). So thats pretty exciting!

And we are taking a risk according to the boards on here (although I do know people in my area that use it without a prob) by switching to Talk Talk. And we have had our connection date brought forward from the 20th to the 13th, so I'm taking it as a good sign anyway.

So, things are currently looking ok. Need to check the bank balances today to. And I'm searching for a nice fresh pasta bake receipe because it's my turn to cook tonight!

Please you see you are doing so will.

I've managed to give myself a headache trying to work out if I can pay both my OD's and my store card off my christmas. I think I can, but it's going to be a bit tight. It all depends on the interest earned on the store card and my lloyds OD. A few more Amazon sales would be helpful. It would give me a few more pounds to move around!!

Keep up the good work and hopefully your energy moves go well!

Good luck Lucy, I'm sure you can do it if you keep up the way you've been going. I think it's the car thats caught you out this month. If you take that away you'd be in a pretty good position this month. So I wouldn't worry.

Finally, the venue where we are having the wedding has cashed the cheque we sent them AGES ago. So thats quite good. I can relax a little now anyway! Phew.

Although I think I'll need to add approx £600 - 700 on to the wedding total because we still need to get the lift passes for the honeymoon. And we need to get the insurance too....hmmm. I'm a tad worried by that rising total now. I'll update my sig and see where that leaves me. I think we are going for an annual insurance (inc, winter sports) I'll put it at £150 I think and see later what it comes in at.

Have a look at the insurance pages, do you pay for your current account, because I know some include holidays insurance.

Don't worry about the rising figures, just make sure you shop around to get the best deals.
