Gonna have to spend between £40 - £50 on the vets today. My little baby has gone in to have a lump removed, roll on 1pm when I can call and find out how she is. Poor little thing.
On a brighter note, just had an email from BT saying they are refunding my £170 overpayment. Well I say mine, it was the other halves fault - but I started bothering BT and they are paying up no problem. Yey.
Went to the shop on the way home from the vets this morning and bought some milk, but was really good and left with ONLY milk...yey!
Bit concerned about Thursday though. Looks like my sis and her family might be coming for a visit. Her hubby called the other day really upset because his brother is having his bowel removed due to cancer. So because they are coming up to visit him they thought they'd visit us too.
Unfortunately, we have no living room due to the decoration etc, and no space in other rooms for them to sit in (her hubby needs to sit, he has bad knees). So it means we'll prob have to go out for some food. Would suggest a picnic or something but don't know what the weather will be like or what time they will be coming....hmmmm.....Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Unfortunatley, just to make things difficult, we need to stay away from pubs. My sister has a rather serious drink problem, so we can't go anywhere that serves alcohol. She'll find away to get some if we do - and then we'll argue.
I know sitting outside is different to being in the pub, but she'll nip to the bar when she goes to toilet or something and it just causes hassle. So can't do that.
Maybe they'll be too upset to come visitiing and go home instead. That sounds awful doesn't it?Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

            No it doesn't.
My suggestion then would be to get in some new fresh bread roll and filling of your choice and suggest that you go on a picnic. I Don't know where you live but do you have any nice rivers/canals etc nearby that you could go to?
Just explain that the house isn't really fit for visitor and as the weather is nice this might be a nice idea.Current debt - £16,300 Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0

Yeah I was thinking that. But I live in the North West - Lancashire to be exact and it ALWAYS rains. Mind you they live in N. Wales so they are used to it.
Pah, it'll all come out in the wash no doubt! I can't believe I am this stressed out over my rat having an op....I swear I'm never having children...don't think I could cope. I just can't think of anything else.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I'm with you on this. Our cat had to have surgery a couple of months ago and I nearly cried when I left him. How frustrating! We are switching over to Talk Talk despite the bad press because we know lots of people who use them in our area and have never had a problem.
The thing is, BT have sent us a letter detailing it all but have said it relates to our old number rather than our current number. I'm confused now - I guess I'll have to ring them and double check that they aren't keeping our current number active but tansfering our old number instead. Don't want 2 phone lines!!!
Unfortunately it's all in my OH's name and they won't deal with me. But he's a nightmare at ringing places, he forgets. They also say the transfer will take place on the 13th of August, but not heard what our go live dates are for Talk talk yet! Crumbs!
On a lighter note, got a letter through for a doctors appointment about being assessed for our personal injury claim from the car crash we had in May. So hopefully that means thats moving forward and we should have so money coming to us!
We better had anyway, my right shoulder is now 2 inches lower than my left so I'm permenantly disfigured now....just in time for my strapless wedding dress in December - nice! And I still get lots of pain in my shoulder too, and am in the process of building the strength back up in it.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

So relieved, brought my baby back from the vets and she seems fine, if not a little pathetic looking given thats she's been shaved.
But it now means I'm down £60. Grrr...but still well worth it if it means she's ok. Speaking of which, she better not eat her way out of the carry cage (got to keep her seperate from her sis for 24 hours) cos I can't afford alternative accomodation for her now...ha haReduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
