Haha Lilty I remember you said, bless ya. ..x
LL was sucking his when he was in the womb, there is a scan picture of him doing it, so I'm afraid this was a losing battle from before day 1!
I think I'll have a 29 yr old thumbsucker on my hands with LL one day. Nevermind, there are way worse things.- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

Dude was ducking his thumb on his scan picture too, infact I think hr was on 2 out of the 4 scans I had!
Luckily he hasn't found his thumb, cos like Lilt I sucked my thumb till well into my teens and have to stop myself doing it sometimes. I feel a bit mean now cos he's still only 15.5 months so maybe its a bit early? I just remember I had dummies till i was around 7 (at home only) and just dint want him that attached to them. It was a tram big deal when I had to ditch mine and I still remember the battles I had to keep them!
I'll hold off and see how Jelly does Lilt. I'll be watching for your updates!!
amerretto. Omg, yes I've been looking at those recently actually. Dude has little lambs for night but has been getting a little res by morning so somebody suggested those. I dare not show hubby, he will have a fit. I may have.to sneek some in somewhere though.
Hairdresser cancelledboo I get the feeling I was blown off as I got a message 10 mins before saying her daughter was ill and she would have to rearrange. She would have needed to set off before that so surely would have known and not even an apology. Booked in at the salon tomorrow (which actually is £4 cheaper!)
So tomorrow has turned into a busy day, soft play first thing, then home lunch and out for hair doing. At least today is a no spend day!!January 2015 - LBM

I didn't even notice ducking, so used am I to reading it as an eff word...:rotfl: - I just slotted in the right letter in my subconscious before I even noticed. BUT... 'a tram big deal' has me stumped...
:rotfl:
Have got my haircut on Tuesday and I don't want to go. It takes hours to get ready beforehand and then she talks so much and cuts so slowly it takes well over an hour to dry trim my hair... and then she charges me £27 for it..I might cancel. Your hairdresser definitely sounds like she blew you off though. result on £4 cheaper
and fitting you in so quick on a Saturday!
Will let you know on the dummies.. she has a mini meltdown when she can't find them in the nightso am anticipating drama but hoping the big build up and presents softens it. xx

I didn't even notice tram big deal!! Probably meant really? I cant even remember!!! Must have trams on the brain.
Dude is currently wide awake with what I presume is tummy ache, he's been with my mum. They took him out with them and then held him hostage for a few hours. I know he had a least 3 mini gingerbread and a barney bear, plus whatever else they forgot to tell me!January 2015 - LBM

Would you look at the time of my last post!! Naughty dude keeping mummy awake.
Had haircut, lovely job and feel much more human. Will pick up a dye when I near a cheap shop. Then I'll almost feel like me again. Mum still got dude so getting a few house bits done while child free (or spending time lurking on here pretending to be getting house stuff done )January 2015 - LBM

Yikes that was an early post indeed. Jelly wakes with tummy ache a lot.. tummy issues generally thanks to her allergies to dairy & gelatine. The one thing I found works is ibuprofen. paracetamol does nothing.
Hope you enjoy your child free time. Try and spends some of it on you. xx

Well this afternoon saw a bit of furniture moving, a few bits sorted and a bit of cleaning done and then, a arguement with OH. He has gone overdrawn in his account so had to move money from joint over (we both get £100 in our own accounts and rest goes into joint.) so he's spent over £100 on his stuff this month, then I log onto our account and he's spent a £20 from there and drawn out £40 cash. I asked him what this was for and he said its work expenses and fuel for work stuff, so I was like oh ok so when will it be going back in so I can update budgets, err well I'm o ly actually owed about £8!!
!!!!!!, seriously what I the point in me budgetting and them him just spending where ever and whatever and eating into the joint money! We should just about make it with a little to spare by pay day but our holiday is at the end of the month and I've saved a bit for that and had to use it to pay tv license and the cc that we use for food shopping so probably not going to be any extra cc payments for me for the foreseeable future!! Any extras now will have to be saved for holiday and then we shall see where I stand after that.
Bit miffed cos I've been trying really hard. I feel a bit like I'm back to square one! I will cut back a bit more on food shop next month and try and claw a bit back to throw at the cc's. Might sound daft but I feel I've worked really hard to save that money and he hasn't bothered and then just spent without thinking. So if i can claw a but back and chuck it towards my cards then I'm going to chuffing do it.
It was that or go on a spending spree as payback, but that's not very mse is it?
Anyway rant over and i apologise for any spelling ir Random wording in this post, on my phone and it likes to change things to make me look stupid.
On a positive for today, I love my new short hair. Poor hairdresser nearly cried cutting it and asked me about 20 times if I was sure I wanted it in a bob. My hair when I went I reached the bottom of my back so there was a lot to chop!! Everybody went silent went she started to cut haha. Dude wasn't too sure when I walked I but he came round pretty quick. He's totally zonked out now as he hasn't had a nap all day! Hopefully he'll last the night.January 2015 - LBM

  to the hair!! Wow that really was a lot to chop but I bet it looks lovely and feels AMAZING!! I once had a hairdresser point blank refuse to do what I wanted with my hair. It was down my back and dark brunette (natural) and I wanted it dying blonde. She wouldn't!! Lol.
As for OH... I hope you have let him know just how much it hurt that you have done so much and he has just gone and ruined it. I think his £100 next month should be cut down to make up for what he took out of the joint account that isn't coming back on expenses. It is only fair.
Hohum has a diary and she and her OH were similar mindsets to you and OH at first. She got YNAB and he battled against it, and budgeting and not spending. She eventually got him to sit down and look at all of the money and all of the jobs it had. And his overspending was kicking various things into the red and stopping her paying off debt. It took a long while and a lot of battles but they have a good balance now. So keep at it with OH. Keep on trying, and keep on budgeting and wherever you make a saving, you stick that onto the credit card.
Keep your chin up hun. I know it isn't fun especially when you have a small person around too. Like having 2 kids isn't it. xx

Sorry I have been MIA for a bit. Sounds like it has been an interesting week for you HM.
I can imagine how you are feeling with OH. Mine keeps on about how he is the only earner in our household etc etc. I wouldn't mind but he isn't paying anymore than he would normally. Men!! hehe (sorry Levi)
As Lilty says, keep positive and we are all here to support you
