    Hello you!!

Sorry to hear dude is not feeling so good. Jelly went through a growth spurt when she was about 18 months old that left her sleeping almost permanently. 18+ hours a day for a couple of weeks. Hate when people tell me everything is a growth spurt though :rotfl:

Amazing news about the nursery saving! Thats a huge amount. I switched Jelly's nursery even though I was quite happy with the old one, just a few niggling things. Best thing I ever did. She skyrocketed as part of the EYFS which she had not been under before, and she has learned in leaps and bounds. It is really easy to see the differences between this nursery and the old one even though on the surface they looked similar and were round the corner from each other. I only switched because I could get funding for her at the new nursery and the old one wasn't registered for 2yo funding.

As for family.. I despair. I'd have shut the door in their face too!!! I'm with you on losing weight. It is getting unbearable for me. I've got odd shaped legs, they go in and out more times than they should! Really need to eat less rubbish and behave myself.

Why do we store so much junk in our houses hmm? 'I might need this... broken bracket for a tv I no longer own' - I have tried being more ruthless. it ended up in me spending £340 on new clothes to replace the binliner chock full of the old stuff I threw out :rotfl: - needed, but still... what an awful lot of money at once! xx

  • Hi HM

Sorry I haven't been around. I love your goals and really want to join you in the weight loss ones. I am thinking about taking myself out walking more. Going to walk into town in a little bit to sign up to a couple more job agencies!

    Hope all is going well.

    Hello Everyone

So back from holiday and had a mad few dasy after we got back. Holiday was fantastic and just what we needed. We didn't overly spend so all that has been budgetted and not added to the CC debt (or any other debt, infact I've just made the full payment to the spend CC):j

Weather was really good for the whole week really, there was one day we had rain but had indoor things planned so it didn't matter at all. Dude loved running round the place and the swimming and the beach (even though we have one on our doorstep). He made friends with everybody and anybody he came into contact with and made a lot of grumpy looking elderly people smile and coo over him!!

I am amazed at how well behaved he was and very proud of how he interacts and reacts to new people and surroundings. He even settled into his new nursery with no trouble at all.

As far as my CC go, I've not made any extra payments yet, the MBNA min payment has gone out and the NW is due to go out on the 11th. So once that has gone I will see what's left and go from there. I've also cashed out £26 from TCB so that will be a bit extra for the pot once it lands in my account, not got it as a bank transfer before so not sure how long it will take. I have decided to throw anything extra at the MBNA as that was my original plan and that has the slightly lower amount. I'd really like to get rid of this by the end of the year, then really work hard to tackle the NW by the end of next year and then that will be everything gone. Just need to find the extra funds to make this possible now. Will be great to have that extra £80 spare that I have been payiing on minimums each month.

I've also added some extra bits to the savings from rounding down acccount balance so that now stands at £35.40.

So just for a record for myself for the future if I look back, as it stands today I have a total CC debt of £3812.23.

    This is made up of
    MBNA £1879.98
    NW £1932.25

Not a great deal to some, but as I'm only using my part time wage to tackle these as well as the normal joint bills I have it's not as easy as it should seem on paper.

I haven't had chance to catch up on everybody else diaries yet but will be working my way round them as soon as I can to see what you've all been up to. Lond post for a first after the break so will leave it at that.

Hmmm I've come to confess! I may not have overspent on holiday but I may have accidentally just spent a stupid amount on some new nappies!!! Meh I cannot resist these darn nappies, why do I need them. Ny whole idea behind using cloth was that I would save money as wouldn't need to buy disposables every week, therefore saving a fortune. But noooooo, I've put an order in for a group nappy, £26 and a couple of bungenius prints. £30..... Somebody must know of an nappy addicts helpline???

Luckily I have the funds but I don't chuffing need them, I just couldn't resist the bargain prices ( they are actually bargains) or the really cute prints!! Dude literally has over 70 (at my last count a couple of months ago) I use around 6/7 a day and wash every other day, you guys do the math and tell me I don't need more!!

Plus going to be a (budgetted) spendy day tomorrow as going shopping for desperately needed new underwear. I blame all the talk on Lilts diary, and all this kondo'ing going on, I have nothing left!!

So hello everybody who's not on their jolly hols!!

Have updated signature again as it didn't seem to save the other day when I came on!!

I've been feeling very guilty about buying nappies.... I'm nearing the £100 mark with nappies in the last few days. I must stop now, infact I posted on the usual groups on Book of Face to stop selling to me as I'm officially an addict!! haha

So to ease my guilt I have sat for the evening and listed on e of Bay, I currently have 10 items listed and already have watchers on a few. So fingers crossed they get lots and lots of bids, I'm hoping since I've literally listed them and got watchers so early that people must want them, maybe, hopefully. Actually looking at the completed listings for the things I've listed and they seem to be going for a nice amount.

Got a pile of things left sat next to me still to list but made a cuppa and having a break. Trying to resist stealing one of dudes easter eggs as thats the only chocolate in the house. I'm sure he wouldn't miss one, right? so far he has 10 actual eggs, numerous chocolate bunnys/chicks, mini eggs, buttons, etc and there's more to come. I think he will be eating chocolate until next easter!!!

Went underwear shopping this morning and came back with ...... nothing!! Had a fitting and the very lovely assistant suggested I look on the website 'as they have more styles' and then subtley added under her breath that there could possibly be a nice sale on at the moment! Very nice of her so I will be taking her advice and checking out the website.

Dude has had a tiring day, morning with grandma and then swimming and hasn't had a nap all afternoon so was in bed before 7!! I haven't heard a peep from him since and I'm a little worried about what time this will mean we are waking up tomorrow. He's done very well recently at sleeping in his own bed, and going to bed at 7.30/8 and not getting up until just before 7am. I'm happy with that deal, so long may it continue.

    Well happy Easter everybody!!

Dude has soooooo much chocolate, taken up half of my sofa! And its a big corner sofa!!

Good day so far apart from a snotty women in town. Went in with dude and mum and decided to go to a cafe for a bit of lunch. Found a table and went up to the counter. O e of those with hot food to the right and cold to the left kind of thing. I said to mum I'll look what I want and then take dude back as he was being a bit fussy (he saw cake and wanted).

There's one women being served and a women stood at the hot, mum is standing behind the women at hot counter so i pick up a sandwich and hand it to mum. Anybody see a problem with this?? As i take dudes oram from mum i start to walk off, tables at after the till. So women at hot food counter says rather loudly and snotty there's a queue and I'm first!

I said, sorry just going to sit down, my mums behind you with my food (maybe thinking she hadn't seen me hand over sandwich) and then she goes off on one. I have to queue like everybody else and cant just jump as i have a child!!

Lots of confused look from me and others, mum says she has my food. Lots if spare tables by the way so cant have been she thought i was going to get the last table (her husband/fella was already sat down anyway as he then came over)

We put sandwich back in the end and left the snotty cow to her insignificant life. Now genuinely somebody tell me if I did something wrong? If I'm in the wrong then I would genuinely apologise (if I ever saw her again) but unless I'm being very blinkered I didn't do anything. Plus there was absolutely no need to speak to me or anyone in that tone anyway.

Sorry for the ranty post, continue being happy again now. Dude is currently banging his new (plastic) spoon and cup and pretending to feed me something out of his bowl! Happy days. He's having fun and going to mums for tea so I dint have to cook it wash up yay

    Hello!!!

Omg I don't understand the obsession with nappies I am sorry. It is a receptacle for poo, you know this right? :rotfl: - I know I am ruining the environment single-handedly with my Leedels throwaways but I do a dozen loads of washing a week with madam, without adding in those too!! I think the disposables are actually better for the environment considering I would be doing the nappies on a 60+ degree wash with a shedload of persil :rotfl:

As for the kondo'ing and the spending.. I am sorry. I seem to have given lots of people the spending bug. I thought I had nailed it this month then bought 2 new pairs of blooming jeggings. :( To be fair I owned one pair of jeggings and a pair of jeans :rotfl:

The woman in the queue sounds like your average looney thicko who probably realised her mistake halfway through but still kept going to not lose face. No you were not in the wrong. My town is full of those inbreeds, don't worry another minute about it. :)

Jelly had a nap today, which was unprecedented. She fell asleep sat up at her table before her lunch as our cookies were baking and slept for 2 hours until I woke her up. She has insisted on going to bed a whole 2 hours before I expected her to but is lying there repeating 'NO! I'm not going to sleep! NO! I don't want to go to bed!' to herself. All gone quiet now though.. hmm.. ;) this morning she was up early and I didn't realise (Ooh there she is. 'NO!') until I heard her light switch clicking on and off and came to find that I couldn't open the door from the state of her bedroom. She completely trashed it. :( nightmare child at the minute!

    xx

You didn't do anything wrong HM! That person in the queue was angry at the world, not at you... it was misdirected.. and incredibly rude. I'm glad you left.. how utterly unpleasant. :( Those kind of things are why I sometimes despise the idea of going out - always seems to be some kind of encounter with a rude person or something trying to prove something... ghastly. Hope you have a fab evening HM, dude sounds like he is a happy bunny :) xx
