Hello
Minimum payments and extra payments have been creditted to the cc today so as of today the figure stands at £1709.90. Slowly coming down. This mean from th 15th June I've paid off £138.46, well probably a bit more than that actually cos there is some interest on that card. Quite pleased with that as the minimum payment is only £30 so I've made extra payments of nearly £80, considering my disposable income is only around £75 I think thats a really good amount. E of bay and cashback have helped with that.
Listed a few more items on e of bay and sorted a few more out this weekend ready to list when I have some more free time. I'm really busy this week with extra bits of work so not sure if I'll be able to get anything else on until the weekend.
Had a manic morning and not a good start to the week so I'm hoping it improves from now on.
Not much else to report so I best get back to it....January 2015 - LBM

Well had to juggle the joint finances a little bit this week as had a few spends that weren't accounted for but will work out cheaper in the long run. A couple of new bike jackets for us, we called into the shop that was having a fun day to find they also had a massive sale on. Found me and OH a new jacket should have been nearly £300 together in the stupidly reduced sale for £35 each, so £70 spent there.
My old jacket is over 10 years old and very worn in places where I've had an opsie and oh jacket no longer had a back plate as it was lost so I think these were a needed spend and could not pass up at that big a saving. Very good brands too.... I could however have gone mad and bought a nice looking leather jacket but resisted, the pants would also have to have been bought to match and that would have been silly money haha.
Also had to invest in a couple more stairgates as dude is into everything and trying to escape to everywhere he shouldn't, along with a few cupboard locks. These were only a few pounds each though so not a massive amount. Just need to hold back a little on spending now to make it stretch out another couple of weeks till next payday.January 2015 - LBM

Well I was tidying up the accounts last night wondering where all our money had gone.... We've deffinately spent a little too much this month, accounts are still in the black but it's a bit tight.
We've basically bought new jackets, a couple of stair gates and lots of safety locks (one of which was refunded), a new CBT for hubby, a new helmet for me (it got bashed and I'm not willing to risk it being ok), a fw bits bought on eb*y, found a bargain innotba for £15 on a selling site which has been put away for dudes birthday.
So basically now we are reigning in the spending and really focussing on clearing everything and getting the savings up and running.
So my current to do list for this week:
List pile of stuff on e of bay (at least 20 items per week until cleared is the goal)
Pack up music bird parcel ready for collection
Sort bookcase on landing of random junk so it's once again useable
Bundle up dudes outgrown clothes to list on e of bay/book of face
Deep clean of kitchen & reorganise now cupboard locks have been fitted (everything just got moved up a level and it's a mess)
Sort out meal plan for next couple of weeks
Make up a new revised budget and make hubby stick to it!!
I think I need to start making proper lists and actually making an effort to get those jobs done before everything becomes too much and I can't keep afloat anymore. So people hold me accountable and make me shift myself into gear.January 2015 - LBM

Well I've not been round for a it as I've had a very busy couple of weeks and also wasn't well in the middle of it all.
So just updated signature and card now stands at £1697.96, considering this was at £1848.36 on the 15th of June I'm pretty impressed with my progress. Thats £150 off in 2 months (my actual disposable income is about £100 and has to pay for my phone contract and any treats/cuppa/softplays etc) so I'm happy that I've reigned in my spending and put the majority of that into paying the card. My minimum payment hasn't yet gone out this month eitherProbably doesn't seem a lot to many but to me it is and I'm happy. If I can keep going with this I should beat my DF date.
Just waiting on a paymet from music bird to hit my account too which will go straight to the card, thats just short of £30 so will round it up.
I've been doing a lot of de-cluttering in the house and listed a ton of stuff on e of bay, theres a few bits ending tonight that have been relisted a few times so will go to the charity shop tomorrow if still unsold. A few bits ae packed up and ready to be posted today and one is being collected by courier tomorrow. I still have a long way to go to de-cluttering the house though.
My plan for this week is to list dudes cloth nappies for sale... he's starting to potty train and insists on wearing pull up style pants now so I've got a few cloth versions of those and tbh I don't think I'll be having anymore babies anytime soon so may as well sell now and if/when another comes along buy again. There are of course some I will be keeping in his little memory box. Growing up too fast!!! But anyway they are good brands and still in really good condition so should bring in a bit extra money.
Every little helps.......January 2015 - LBM

Hey you!!!
I haven't caught up with more than the first couple of posts because I will forget if I don't respond right now!!
YNAB - you can buy it and do everything EXCEPT for set your budgets on there. So if you can set it up on a PC, then log on once a month or each time a payment goes IN to your account, so wages, tax credits, child benefit etc... then you can do the rest on your phone.I've always loved YNAB, but to be honest in the last couple of months I decided to screw the money and focus on getting myself human and well again. That didn't go down well with YNAB so I quite it for a while... and I can honestly say I am more than ready to have it controlling my impulses again. I am shocked at how much I can spend without thinking when I am not worrying about budgets. Commendable as it is to be in a position where that doesn't matter too much, I need YNAB to keep me on track to buy myself a house!!
Right. I will be back to catch up with the rest but I have to go get madam and take her to a paediatrician while dressed as a cowgirl :rotfl:
Oh, and just so you know, I feel the pain with your midget child. Mine was in tiny baby when she was born at 6lbs 13, and didn't make it to newborn for 6 weeks, she was always 3-6 months behind in her clothes size compared to her age, and her legs were even worse. She was 2 and 4 months when she came out of 9-12 month trousers. And at 3 and a half she's in 3-4 on the top and 2-3 on the bottom and some of those bottoms are too big, and ALL of them are way too long :rotfl: love them. They get to be our babies for longerxx
