Glad you're in a good mood. it is nice when you feel able to do things like tidying up your office space. I know for me I love it when it is all tidy, hence a frantic change of texts with my also ill boss this morning trying to organise that her part of the work (heavy lifting) be done by some men as she has hurt her back badly, and then my part can be left to me because our OCD does not allow the filing system to have half the labels written by me and the other half by someone else. :rotfl:

Ooh you have another emergency fund too!!!

I put £105 a month between different *pots* on YNAB which includes £50 to Christmas, £10 to xmas food and £10 to home insurance. £25 to annual line rental and £10 to Jellytots Clerks shoes!! I then have £300 going to a regular saver each month. Covers me nicely I hope. This is the first year these pots have run!

I am sure you will burn through the other credit card in no time. You're doing brilliantly! xx

Eeeek not been around for a bit. Have been keeping an eye in diaries through email subscriptions but not really had chance to have a proper look and reply.

there seems to be a baby boom at the moment and 4 friends are pregnant, All due within a couple of months of each other. This is making me extremely broody. Dude is growing up so fast and becoming so independent. when I went to pick him up from nursery he walked past me, went and picked up his own coat from his peg and then walked to the door! Who needs mummy to pick him up, not him!!

Other than that there's not much going on. Payday in a few days and I have around £30 left in my normal account but have nothing planned that I need to spend on. We also have a healthy amount in our joint account and both mine and joint savings are starting to look very healthy too.

Will make an extra payment to cc once I've been paid and know there's no needed spends. I'm really hoping I can get rid of this card by the end of the year so that gives me 7 months 😯 better get listing on ebay then:rotfl:

    Hello

So again not posted in a week.... must get better at this. But it's been a dreadful week and I've not been a happy bunny at all. So confession time is I've now got an additional cc with £2600 on it  however it is on 0% for 18 months so should be clear before then.

The reason for this.... everything went wrong at once. I don't really want to go into details here as if anybody actually knows me (in real life) it would make it extremely obvious as to who i am. But it's done and dusted (well actually theres still a lot of dust) but it's over and I can't change it so we have to move on.

At least the NW card was cleared so I'm realistically at the same point I was before finding those bonds. For now I'm gonna leave it off my sig as it's quite depressing and it's 0% so I can pay off the minimums at the moment and clear it by the time it ends. I will not let this push back my debt free dates, which should hopefully be around Jan/Feb 2017 so not very long to go.

I will try to make more of an effort to post a bit more and keep you all updated. Here's me sticking on my eb*y head and getting everything thats not nailed down sold...

    Hey you

I am sorry to hear things went bad :( I hope you're OK? I am always around on PM if you want to talk but I am here to be silly and try and cheer you up all over your diary without giving away who yu are ;) (how would I know?!)

I love that dude is getting so grown up. I had the same issues with friends all falling pregnant. Everyone, and I mean everyone who was pregnant at the same time as me has another child now or is pregnant. And one is pregnant with her third! I am sad but at the same time, so glad I waited. I've got friends who struggle to get out of the house because they have 2 kids who need constant attention. And even when one is at nursery they still have the other to drag around to these places. Meanwhile I focus my attention on jellytot and she loves it and is flourishing - I still get some down time, and balance it with work and I just couldn't do that if I had another right now. She is at the BEST stage it seems. I really enjoy her every single day and I know you are the same with dude!

Lots and lots of love and hugs xxx

    Thanks Lilt

We're all ok just in a situation we wouldn't really like to be in!

Day off today but been up since 6 anyway and am now the proud owner of a new front door, a new front room window and a shiny scary looking alarm system! (Hence some if the cc bill).
I should be able to get some of the cost back from insurance though for the window at least, the door was more replaced as it was 50% glass and wanted something more secure.

I seriously worry about what this world is coming to and even more so what it would be like when dude is grown up.

Anyways dwelling does not solve anything. So onwards and upwards and let's try and forget the last week and start being positive again.

Dude is becoming more of a cheeky chappy by the day (in a good way) he's suddenly learnt his nose, ears, head, eyes and shoulders overnight and points to them is you say the word. Then has a really smug look on his face. Cheers me up no end!

On another cheer me up note I accidently set off said new alarm about an hour ago and took 20 mins to turn it off. The whole street must be wide awake by now haha serves them right:rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your bad week Harrysmummy but very impressed that you are not letting it get you down and onwards and upwards attitude! Keep going :money:

Aww I get broody occasionally even though I already have two and I *know* that we are done lol! I have a very big gap between my two but have to say that it does have its advantages and they have a great relationship (well most of the time!) despite a nearly 7 year gap Xx

I think ideally (even though I'm super broody) I would like to wait a couple of years at least so that dude is around 4 or 5 before having another.

That didn't stop me mooching through the baby section today.

On a random money nite tax credits made quite a large payment into my bank today and I'm not sure why. I've already had my renewal and my payments have gone up a bit which are paid weekly and due tomorrow.

I presume it's because we didn't earn as much as they had us down for last year, will ring them tomorrow and find out. Don't want it if they are gonna take it away and make me pay tonnes back.

So nothing much else to report. Dude has made a bombsite in my living room and is nowhere near sleep, I on the other hand am dead on my feet.

Oh just had a friend of a friend over who does the utility warehouse thing. I did have a bit of a warm fussy glow when she said we can't beat your current prices. And they couldn't beatnik by quite a large amount :j I like the fact that I can't help shopping around for all my stuff. Yay:money:

    Hey you

So.. I am a bit lost for words. It sounds like you were burgled or had your personal safety compromised big time. That sounds awful and frankly no amount of money is too much when keeping the most precious things you have (yourselves) safe. I do hope you are ok! Big big hugs. I live in a building which is dodgy to say the least and was threatened by a very rough neighbour once with an abusive note through my door threatening my safety when i was on my own with jellytot. I was blocking up the letterbox frightened to death he was going to drop some lighter fluid and a match through or something. Took a long while to feel a bit more safe again.

well done on having the best prices on things!! That is great news for you and shows how fab you are at this moneysaving malarkey. And that is why you shouldn't be worried!! :D

    Big hugs xxx

Naughty me hasn't posted in quite a while. Sorry guys.

I've been a bit like a swan recently, all calm on top and paddling like mad underneath but nobody can see. I'm well and truely back on the MSE band wagon and got my head back in the game.

Looking back at my first post my total debt was £3750.59  and now (0% card aside) I'm at £1848.36 so thats quite a big improvement. I'm not in denial about the 0% card I just know that was the lesser of 2 evils and as it's 0% don't want to focus on it. Plus OH pays that anyway haha.

So my aim now is to rid me of this stupid cc and then I can get back to some sort of normal again. I'm off work tomorrow but dude is still in nursery so I have a huge pile/box/bags/house really of eb*y stuff to list or chuck on Book of Face which should hopefully bring in some spare money that I can chuck at the cc. I have bitten the bullet and increased the DD for the cc to £50, instead of the £30 odd minimum payment. This goes out shortly after payday and then I can throw extra bits at it as and when but makes me feel better that without thinking aout it a bit extra is being paid off. (plus this more than covers the little bit of interest I pay on it so the total will go down quicker!

I realistically have around £110 to play with in my account each month that needs to pay for this cc and any little day to day expenses like playgroups etc for dude so I should be able to pay a few random extra payments from there anyway. Just don't like dude missing out so tend to leave it in the account and then forget about it come next payday! I hate the thought of going to a playgroup and him not being able to have an ice cream when the guy comes round or something though so need something to fall back on. It also pays for his swimming each week, we've been taking full advantage of a locals offer at a swim park near us recently and he's gone 2-3 times a week, good job it's ridiculously cheap, but he absolutely loves splashing around and even went down a slide with me last week:T he's growing up way too quick!!

So I think thats most of my stuff updated. My head is back in the game and I will do my best to update more often from now on. I will also make an effort to get round to everybodys diary as I haven't posted for a while and need a proper catch up!
