    Hi HarrysMummy

i have just read through your diary and have subscribed.
Good luck with you debt free journey

i just wanted to say on the subject of dashbaord cameras that we have one.
We call it our numpty driver insurance. The amount of close calls we have had due to some inconsiderate idiots
we currently have this one It was about £30 when we got it. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IPDD448?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
Its has a nice wide lens and gives a clear picture.
The size of memory card you use influences how long it will record for before it overwrites itself.
We did originally have a cheaper one for about £12 but the pic quality wasn't that great and the lens angle was quite narrow

Thanks Ammeretto, I'll show the cam to OH. He's in charge of the technical stuff! Some drivers are just really shocking. I used to ride a motorbike so think generally I'm quite aware of other drivers so I could avoid being run into!

Naughty take away this evening but was bought by the parents so doesn't actually affect our budgets! I don't want to jinx anything but we seem to have a nice sum left in the joint account at the moment and all dd have gone out! Fingers crosses it stays this way. Joint account doesn't affect my debt totals as we haven't got any savings so would be done for if an emergency arose. So anything left in there is moved to a joint saver for emergencies!

Off to bed now. Dude is fast asleep so hopefully he will stay that way. I've spent the last half hour just sat on his floor watching him sleep peacefully. Feeling very blessed at the moment to have such an amazing little man and my hubby. We may have a little debt but we can manage it and still live comfortably so I should remember that. Anyway enough of my soppyness. Goodnight!

    Hiya HM,

I need more parents for takeaway purposes :rotfl:

Got my fingers crossed your joint account stays nice and fat so you can move a chunk to emergencies. With all the washing I've done in the last few days I have had the thought that my 4 year old washing machine may actually pack up on me. This is a super hard water area... and I am not very kind to it at the best of times. Anyway.. I suddenly realised. I have the money.. right there.. saved for the purpose. It is a big relief to know if something happens I can cover it without using credit! I think I am finally out of debt... if that makes sense. Being both out of debt and able to cover emergencies now :)

Hope little dude stays asleep and you get a good night. I know the feeling blessed well, and the finances/second child issue. When dude gets a bit older.. just wait, he will continually amaze you (even more than he does now!... Jelly became a human sponge around 18 months and ever since it just keeps getting better and better. I love that I have no other distractions and can just soak her all in. Another would be amazing if it happened.. but not right now. I am learning so much and having so much fun. :)

    Night soppy. Sleep well xx

Thanks for stopping by everybody, It's lovely to *see* new faces popping in as well as the regular followers, (haha I feel I have a following, does that make me popular and famous?)

Lilt, you are 100% correct that dude amazes me everyday and I cannot believe how utterly I adore him. I actually can't imaging adoring and loving anything as much or more than him. However I'm sure if I had another I would find the feeling just the same. OH and I have discussed it and we think around 4-5 would be a nice age for him to be to think about having another. This is because he would be in school, giving me all day with new baby to bond and also spend quality time with dude when he is at home. Plus he can fetch me thing and should be self sufficeint enough to be making full roast dinners by then and generally doing all the housework too so I can put my feet up, yes???:rotfl:( this is a joke, just incase. I had a bad health visitor who genuinely thought dudes nursery was going to be in the shed so I didn't lose my craft room, so feel the need to point out my jokiness just in case)

I couldn't believe the health visitor Lilt, she actually said 'I'm afraid a shed will not be adequate for your babys nursery, you really need to use the bedroom for this and will have to find an alternative for your craft room, maybe the sehd would be useful for that' I thought the fact I said I would be letting the cat look after the baby in the shed would have also made my joke more apparant. I guess not!!!

Oh and don't get me started on washing machines, my dad bought ours as a moving in present, it lasted 3 months and died, was replaced under warranty and lasted 9 months and died. I did a lot of research into them and chose a different one, again under warranty and it lasted just short of 12 months!! I then went in to the shop and picked the first one I saw and said that will do as I'll probably have a new one in a few months anyway and it's still going!!:rotfl:Heaven forbid if it dies on me though cos dude is in cloth nappies, my poor machine gets a battering and then nappy washes 3 times a week. Poor little thing should really have a holiday at some point

OMG :rotfl: some people have just had a total sense of humour bypass. In all honesty if I had a health visitor like that I would have wound her up even more!! :D But I am a terrible person and you are not... :o

My washing machine was bouncing up and down today. Actually lifting off the floor. Reminded me of when the breeze block came off the drum when I was a kid and it chased me across the kitchen  - so.. I totally jinxed it didn't I. If it lasts a month will get dad to take a look as am sure it is just balance issues. But mine needs a holiday too!!

Cloth nappies!!! - I only wish I was that brave. Jelly has what amounts to permanent diarrhoea from her allergies. Such a dodgy little tum (hence easily caught the first tummy bug going!) I would be going through them at a rate of notts, and would never ever get them clean, even with liners!! You are a braver mummy than me! Kudos! xx

  • You girls make me so envious! I am definitely missing a little person in my life! I hope my bestie gets pregnant again soon so I can fuss over hers.

My DM used cloth nappies. I don't think I could, simply because I would be rubbish at putting them on! LOL Can just see a little one running round with half a nappy attached!! :rotfl:
