Have a great weekend!!!
(I love being put in with the 28-30yr olds as I'm 33 this year!)

Just back from our weekend away. Little dude was so well behaved and had all the hotel staff wrapped around his finger from the moment he walked in!!
Had a lovely day around York and only spent the money FIL gave me so pretty good really. Even managed to get hubby a couple of treats.
Hal!fax account switch all seems to be in order, account has been set up and I've registered for online banking and all is working. Set to switch on 11th so hopefully all will go well and my reward should land soon after.
Magpie are being very slow with my last order, they have emailed about the delay but I want it now!! Can't pay it off the card till it lands in my bank... we've also sorted another box of stuff to them that didn't sell on eb*y so have another order of £20 to be collected next week. Hopefully this one will go through quicker.
OH has decided that once my account has switched he will do the same so that he gets the switch deal too. £200 of free money sounds good to me.
Dude is now tucked up in bed and I'm having a quick catch up on here before I head off to bed too..
Oh another eb*y sale of £23.33 over the weekend too, so that will go where it's needed shortly.:jJanuary 2015 - LBM

Just so you know, if OH was to switch in the next 4 days, he could earn an extra £40 on Quidc0 by doing it via them as well. I just found it or I would have told you sooner
you should negotiate £20 of that if you can get him to switch
So glad you had a lovely (and free!) time awayand yay for eBay sales!!! xx

Well had a really bad night last night, little dude just would not settle. Not much sleep for me!
Not much to report today, logged into new bank account and all seems tobe going well, dd are showing in there so thats got to be good. I transferred £1 into it from my old account to check how long it took to land and make sure it was all working before giving work my new details. Transferred very quickly so happy about that too.
Just gotta wait for the switch to complete tomorrow and hopefully the £100 will land shortly after!!
Thanks Lilt for the heads up, I'll make sure we check quidco and tcb before he moves anywhere, I'm still checking out banks for him to switch to, may go for the one that gives breakdown and phone cover etc as that may come in handy and we'd be able to get rid of ours!!January 2015 - LBM

Something in the water (or milk) last night as Jelly was up 2-3 times in the night, luckily before I went to bed.
Have you got much on today? Hard work trying to get your usual workload done when you're exhausted!
I just got a Natwide FlexAccount opened with Natwide as I am switching out of my Flexdirect. I got £50 as did the recommender for switching to them originally a year ago, and the flex account has travel ins etc. They have a £10 a month account which has everything attached to it though. I just kept it open because they have been really good to me, and I didn't want to cut all ties.

Unfortunately Lilt I was working yesterday. He slept from about 9 till 3.30am this morning and then ended up in my bed again. SO a better night but not by much.
So updated signature, interest has been added and both minimum payments have gone out for Feb. I'm going to have a look into a balance tranfer card shortly to get rid of the interest. I don't have an overdraft on my new account so hoping that wonn't actually show as any footprint on my credit file anyway.
Account switch seems to have gone through, money from old account has now moved to new account, direct debits are showing in new account. Old account is standing at £0 with no dd showing so I guess that's just waiting to be closed down.
Lazy day today, just gotta do a bit of cleaning and me and dude are gonna be snuggled up watching movies and playing with his toys. He's got a cough and I'm feeling tired and run down. Need a little bit of fresh shopping later so will pop out and get that. We have decided to put all food shopping on our cc (it's a joint one and doesn't have any debt) that way we can keep track of how much we are spending. I think we've been a bit lapsey daisy with food budget recently so this will help us keep track and will pay it all off before any interest is added as we would have spent it anyway if that makes any sense....
Negotiated a better phone deal and got rid of a couple of other direct debits this morning that I have found are tied in with our new home insurance so no longer needed
So we're actually about £100 better off each month due to this. Happy mornings work I think.
Dude has now woken up so thats all for now.January 2015 - LBM

Food budget is my disaster area and the reason I got YNAB. I cut it down by £250+ a month! Cut my waste out too!
Sounds like a tiring weeek for you. Jelly has been waking up early but playing with Applebee which is her kids tablet. Still came into me at 6:30 this morning. Lucky I went to bed early!!
Have a lovely day

Is Applebee a tablet name? I'm looking for something tablety for Dude as he's obsessed with our phones and laptop. Thinking of looking into one for him for his birthday (it's not till the end of the year!)
So not too good news to report really. switch went ok and incentive landed but OH and I have decided we need to buy a dashcam for the car after yesterdays events. All 3 (including dude) were in the car yesterday and were quite badly cut up by another car driver. No damage as OH managed to avoid hitting but obviously blew the horn. Car infront then decides to brake check us and kept stopping/starting and making out he was pulling over and then swerving back out again.
Luckily OH was driving as I don't think I would have liked being in that situation on my own and so dangerous with dude in the car. I phoned police and gave them all the details and reg so hopefully they can do something about it. There was no where to turn off the road as was a country lane and a bit in the middle of nowhere so we didn't really just want to stop and end up stuck etc. We turned off down the first road we could to get out of the situation but just think if we had have hit etc then it would probably go down as our fault. Plus we would have had evidence of what the guy did and could probably have got him into trouble as could have proved it.
So all that waffle means that incentive from bank is going on a dashcam when we do a bit of research and find one.
On a more positive note, I've just used the energy switch thingy on here and can save £125 a year. I only switched a few months ago and saved and thenhad my dd reduced as was in credit and now hopefully if all works out then I will save even more.... yay
Paid £27.65 off the MBNA card as that was the odd amount in my account. Signature has been updated. Next min payment will go out around the 25th for that card (statement has just come in so hopefully this payment wont cancel out the min payment, if it does I will just pay that over later when I know it's not gonna take it again!! NW card has also gone out so just need to check on the new balance for that.
Applied for a 0% card and wasn't accepted so will just stick with it at the moment and pay off as much as I'm able as and when. It's coming down, slowly but it is coming down and I have managed to pay off more than the minimum payments since I started the diary. I've also managed to pay more in extra payments than the interest they add so it's a bit of a positive I think!
Just had an email from magpie and they have finally processed my order and should be paying me in the next few days. It's taking ages for this one to get to the payment stage. I'm also waiting for them to collect a new box of stuff today so hopefully that will go quicker ad is another £20 for the pot.January 2015 - LBM
