I have the 'Online Fixed Price Energy January 2016' to which i switched to at the beginning of January.
Anyone know if this 'online fix feb 2016' is a better deal, and can I switch now given i only switched a few weeks ago?
Thanks0 -
Use a comparison site to check. Nobody here can tell you because the prices vary by location and usage.Paully232000 wrote: »I have the 'Online Fixed Price Energy January 2016' to which i switched to at the beginning of January.

If the cost per kwh and/or the daily standing charge is less than the tariff that you are on then yes, if it's not then no.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

It was for me. You need to look at the tariff comparison section on the Scottish Power online portal.0 -
Anyone remember the oft peddled (when oil prices were rampaging upwards) industry mantra that the price of gas is linked directly to the price of oil??0
-
Many countries in Europe do tend to be dominated by gas supply contracts related to the price of oil at some specified time, although that is reducing from what it used to be. The UK, Netherlands and Norway are the main exceptions, mainly through their history of being producers. The UK though buys a certain amount from producers that do want to operate a tie - or at least might have until recently.0

Having just switched tariffs with my own energy company in the last couple of days, the new tariff started the very next day.
You'd think with all of the publicity about the vast differences in the prices of suppliers tariffs, that Joe Public would be less apathetic about how much they're forking out. People moaning about the price of their energy bills and then absolutely refusing to do anything about it seems to be de rigueur. Apparently, if one believes the media, there are millions who never bother to review their energy spend?.....:huh:0 -
