Someone murdered in house

Would it put you off? I know it shouldn't really and a house is a house, but honestly, would you be put off buying a house if you knew that someone had been murdered in it?

    Not at all.
    I am a LandLord,(under review) so there!:p
  • Depends how recently and whether a random killing or someone known to the victim and how much press coverage it had
The longer ago it was the less likely it would bother me.

As long as the body has been removed and any stains scrubbed clean or permanently covered over then it wouldn't worry me.

Yeah I might be a little concerned if there was a decomposed body waiting to greet me on my first viewing!!

  • I know a high proportion of houses will have had someone died in them at some point.., but personally I'd probably look for another house. There's usually plenty of them around.

Someone died, yes but someone murdered is a no. I have a good imagination at night with the lights off!

  • Given the current shortage of homes, I think that it is a real shame when perfectly good houses are torn down because of something that went on inside them.
