Having driven both there is a certain familiarity in the drive but the mk3 differs in refinement by a big margin.

The platform was obviously reworked quite a bit as Mitsubishi claim it was designed to take a hybrid from the start which it wouldn't have been in the mk 2 format.

500,000,000 iphones x 6 = 3 billion (+many billions of other phones and devices, tablets)

33,000 phev x 12,000 = 396 million

Toyota have built more than three million Priuses to date.
