That's so lovely that he had a turn out like that, Tete :) You could tell from how you've always spoken about him that he was incredibly loved. If you ever want a day in York or somewhere to just take your mind off things, I'm only a little train ride away xx

Hope Heidi is feeling better soon, and Happy Birthday to Little K for tomorrow!! How are these kids getting so ruddy big?

I'm glad your Dad had a good send off Tete, nice that the sun came out for him, especially on such a grotty day! I hope the next few months/weeks aren't too tough. Like Cinny says, if you fancy a little meet I'm very much up for that! :)

How is it possible that Baby K is 3?!?! She's gorgeous, and so clever to have 2 languages! I wish I could bring Zach up to be bilingual. We're currently just concentrating on him communicating in English without saying 'Meh', and failing! :p

Sorry that things didn't work out with your BF Kavics. :( You're beautiful inside and out and I'm sure the perfect man is just waiting for the perfect time. :)

Hope Heidi is feeling better and lets you sleep tonight Wendz! How are things going with the ex?

  • Tete,

I'm so glad the funeral went as well as it could. It sounds like he was a much loved gentleman. I hope you are okay, have been thinking about you an awful lot. Wish I lived closer to you xxx

Welcome back Dinah and well done on the debt busting. I'm very impressed. Great to hear NIM is enjoying the job and Ben is going to nursery a couple of days a week. Gives you a chance to get your head down and concentrate on work.

Cinny - your pregnancy is going so so fast. What's your due date again?

Birdie - loved your holiday photos. The 3 of you looked like you were having such a good time. You could see it in every photo :)

Kavics - sorry to hear about your BF. Hope you are doing okay.

Still suffering a lot at night bless her. Going into work today to visit so lots of concealer for under the eyes needed!

Things are good with the ex in terms of us getting on for the girls. He is working a lot but that isn't unusual. Helps when he can though.

I'm not sure if everyone's seen this but there's a big discount on La Redoute at the minute, I ordered £103 worth of stuff (including some dungarees, because I want to dress like a 3 year old, goddammit!) and paid £53! :money: There's also the Nectar double up until Tuesday so I'm going to turn my points into vouchers over the weekend, just need to decide which department to spend them in! :) You can tell it's payday as I'm in spendy mode! ;)

I'm also eyeing this up, because it's so pretty! Not too OTT is it?! I was thinking about wearing it at my work Christmas party...

  • Oh Birdie I have a dungaree dress and I LOVE it! You won't regret it!

Bringing the thread back to money for a min (ahem), I have a question. Obviously I now have my own house and I'm looking at jazzing it up a bit. I really need new windows and a front door (these ones have been in at least since we moved in in 1993 and you can actually see the curtains moving even though the windows are closed). I just popped into a window shop but he was no help at all and wanted to come and measure up ... but I CBA with that if it's going to be £££ and has to be saved for. So has anyone had new windows recently or have any idea what it costs? The French doors on the back are new so I'd just be wanting the front door, four large clear windows (living room, bedrooms, etc), one large obscure window (on the stairs) and five small obscure windows. Like is it going to be £2,000 or £10,000?:huh::huh:

Go to a local company you'll probably be looking at around £3-£4k, go to a national like Everest and it will be around £10-£12k x
    Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81
    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off
    Met NIM 23/06/2008
  • Thank you, that's about what I thought but then I doubted myself. I'll be going for a local company then..!
