Firstly congratulations Cinny! So happy for you, really lovely news.

Dinah - really happy that they have sorted the DBS issue for you, really was stupid to have that held over you. Sorry to hear things with Nims mental health/job aren't good. Hope he manages to find something soon.

Had a lovely week away last week in Weymouth. Poppy was much better behaved being distracted all week. Now to find things to entertain her with in the summer holidays as next week is her last week of nursery . Heidi is 6 weeks old now, not sleeping great still but poppy was the same so hopefully will get better! She is more alert though which is lovely.

Thanks, Wendz! Just hoping everything goes smoothly, feel like I can't fully relax and get into it until the first scan. Saw the photos of Heidi at the beach, looks like you had a lovely time Hope she starts sleeping better soon!

Forgot to mention we were talking names and had a good deal ruled out because I kept saying "Noooo, *insert real life threadie name*'s kid is called that" :rotfl: Started accidentally calling it Fox so at least it has a name for the time being.

Speaking to my Grandma this morning and we can put my Grandad's tell count up to 5 people. Apparently he's spending all his time telling my Grandma not to get excited and tell people, but then goes and does it himself!

Aww your Grandad sounds so cute Cinny! My Dad was the same, told all and sundry about his grandbabies when they were cooking despite being the most cautious of us all to our faces!

Wendz, how is Heidi 6 weeks old already?! She was just born last week, no?! Hope she starts sleeping better. Is your Ex helping out a lot?

Bless your Dad, Birdie! I can't wait to see my parents go into full Grandparent mode once we've had our scan and they can start sharing the news.

Dinah - don't suppose you have any yoga poses you could recommend for bad shoulders/neck? Been so stiff since my accident and the exercises the Doctor gave me don't seem to be fully cutting it!

Dinah I'm so angry on your behalf about the wages, I just don't know what to say! Have they given any reason? Hope NIM finds a new job soon, Things sound as though they're going well for you work wise now, congrats!

I could possibly do a Nov meet if it is at the weekend, would be happy to go wherever as I'm in the middle. I'm in Leeds the weekend of the 7/8/9 Nov as it happens visiting my sis.

So much to catch up on, I'm sure I've forgotten loads!

That's so sweet about your Grandad Cinny! Bet they are all excited. The wait till the first scan seems so long.

Birdie - he is helping but his working hours means he can't always help. He was here at bath time, bedtime for poppy yesterday though which was a bit easier than trying to juggle two on my own.

My surprising news of the week is that my BIL got married out of the blue on Monday! Just 2 witnesses, not even the parents knew! I'm happy for them but gutted that I've been robbed of a new hat opportunity, you know how much I love hats!

ETA: Cross posted with you Wendz! Glad he's helping out where he can but it sucks that his hours aren't more family friendly. Is it OK having him around when you're not actually together any more? Are you finding it OK with 2 in general? I've taken a nosy pill this morning!

Ohh that must have been a shock Birdie! Shame you missed out on hat opportunity!

The plus side is he does seem to make more effort now. Before he probably would have just been doing his own thing and not helping much. It can be a bit awkward but other times we talk like we did before.. Is a bit strange. I'm finding it quite hard with two but getting easier (hopefully). The baby is pretty easy but poppy does not like playing alone so very demanding of my attention and wants me to play with her all the time. She loves her sister though although the poor thing gets poked and squeezed a lot.

You should still get yourself a hat, Birdie. Just show up at their house wearing it :cool: A couple I work with had a surprise wedding at the start of the year. I think they did it on one of their birthdays, so they had an excuse to get their family together, then did a sneaky ceremony in the am, and announced the news to everyone over what was meant to be a "birthday toast"!

OH and I actually spoke about getting married the other night and we've decided to call it off. We both agreed we were more excited about a holiday with buffets than the actual wedding :rotfl: It was just a really good reason/excuse to go to Vegas! So we'll continue our life of sin, with some b*stard children to boot

Glad everything seems okay with your Ex, Wendz. Wait until Heidi is a little older and you'll get all the feet-up time while they have sister adventures together! But I can imagine it's a little odd for you at times, I'm sure you and him will settle into a new routine again as he helps more?

eta: Birdie's nosy pill has reminded me I forgot to take my folic acid doodah pill this morning. Terrible mother already!!

Wendz, I think second babies tend to be pretty tough creatures having to put up with being poked and prodded and dragged around! My brother is 4 years older than me and apparently thought it was great fun to move me from place to place every time my Mum left the room. Lord knows how gentle he was when he was doing it!

Must be tough seeing your ex so much but good that he's making an effort. You're doing so well with everything! Do you think there may be a chance of getting back together? Sorry... I'm just soooo nosy today, I don't know what's wrong with me!
