I have empathy with her as I'm a younger sibling too haha.
I don't feel like there is much chance but I would want to if he wanted to make the effort. Don't think it will happen though.0 -
The thing is, I have no doubts you'd actually do that Birdie! :rotfl::rotfl:
They'll have my OH's last namePartially because I think it's prettier than my last name, and there's no way the poor kid will get pestered with a "are you sure it's SHAW?!"
I was such a bully baby. My Sister always wanted to play dress up with me/cuddle me and there's video evidence of me at a couple months old poking her in the eye when all she wants is a hug. Think I toughened her up more than the other way around!
Must make it slightly more difficult when things start feeling how they used to be, Wendz. Obviously I don't know the ins and outs of it but you're such a lovely gorgeous person with a lot to offer someone when the situation is right. At least you have your daughters to keep your mind off of things. I'm also really hoping that Heidi turns out to be as bright a spark as Poppy, your stories about her always crack me up!0 -

I will be doing it!They're home from their honeymoon (which was apparently just a 'little pre-baby getaway'
) tomorrow so there may be a family meal over the weekend where I shall be attending dressed for a wedding!
Shame that the ball is in your exes court and he can't be bothered to pick it up Wendz! As Cinny said, you're gorgeous and wonderful and I'm sure there'll be a happy ending for you.Oh and with Poppy teaching her, there's no doubt that Heidi will be as awesome as her big sister!
On the subject of littles, isn't it odd how they pick up on little things and repeat them? Zach must have been watching me use a jaw clip thingy the other day when I was doing my hair and it was in my bag for some reason yesterday, he pulled it out and tried to put it in his hair, looking all pleased with himself for knowing what it was for! :T He also loves the washing machine, the other day he emptied his bottom drawer and took everything in little handfuls into the kitchen and put it all into the washing machine! When I told him that it all needs to go back in his drawer, he did a stroppy teenager sigh and took it all back to his room and dumped it in the drawer! :rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Can't wait to see any FB photos of that
Will your DH be suited and booted too?
That's adorable/hilarious about Zach!! I've already told one of my friend's that I'd like to just fast forward through the boring baby part and get to them being toddlers with real personalities. It's why I always liked the idea of adoption. Get one ready to be an entertaining human!
I have to be careful around my cousin's daughter now, as she's such a smart cookie and picks everything up. I almost swore the other day and had to do an impression of Homer Simpson blending into a hedgerow.
Had an amazing moment yesterday when I thought of THE MOST PERFECT GIRLS NAME! But Rich had to reject it as with my accent, I sounded like Rick Grimes saying CarlBut if anyone with a nicer accent than me wants to pick it up: Coral is a really pretty name.

I doubt DH will play along because he's not a total nutter like me!
DH is keen on adopting for the same reasons, he doesn't want to do the sleepless nights again!
LOL at the Coral accent issue! It is a pretty name... maybe you could spend the next 7/8 months poshing up your accent so you can still use it?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Pssssh, first no to matching disney shoes and now this? Who does he think he is??
To be honest, I'm not looking forward to the lack of sleep! I enter a stage of what I think is limitless energy, which quickly turns into hysteria. Which is okay when I just have to drag myself through the day, not when I'm lugging a meatloaf around.
I don't think me with a posher accent is possible, I still remember Tete's reaction to me ordering a coke and it coming out as "keeeeerk" :rotfl: We've fully picked a girls name now so I can get over my accent difficulties0 -
Nice to hear from you ROTE, hope you’ve had some positive news since you last posted.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too0 -
ROTE, you sound so much more positive in that post. Glad you got everything sorted and you should be proud of yourself for dealing with this head on. I'd have my head in the sand pretending it isn't happening!
Birdie - I think you need to clear your schedule in early March because I've decided to get a frame made for... us, my parents, OH's parents, my grandparents and OH's Nannan  Was looking at all the photos of the ones you've already made on FB this morning and got over excited :rotfl:
Can't believe it's Friday again!0 -
Blimey, that'll keep me out of trouble!!!
You kind of get used to broken sleep. DH and I used to be the biggest pansies about sleep, had to be 9 hours uninterrupted sleep in perfect conditions otherwise we felt terrible, now we're much better! To be fair, we've only had one 2am wake-up in the last 3/4 months (teething pain on Sunday night!) and 1 or 2 5/6am wake-ups so we're back to getting spoilt. We had a rota when Z-dogg was younger (benefits of bottle feeding
), DH would get up with him until 3 (it was usually around 1am for a bottle then back to sleep) and I'd do from 3 (usually meant being up for the day from about 5). That way we both got a decent block of sleep.
I agree with Cinny ROTE, that last post seems much more positive! It's lovely paying off a debt and feeling the weight on your shoulders lessen!
I can't believe it's Friday again already either! :j I suppose that's the benefit of being busy at work, makes the weeks fly by! Bit freaked out that August is just around the corner though, feels like we were just in May?! Got a long weekend as we've booked Monday & Tuesday off work, Monday is the Dude's day in nursery so we're (probably) going to the cinema and we'll be doing something family friendly on Tuesday. Looking forward to it! We don't get paid until Monday though so the weekend will be quite a thrifty one, think we've got about £50 to last us!
I think my DH is a bit excited for our holiday, he's been getting all of the toiletries we need and packing them in clear bags and splitting them between hand luggage and checked luggage already! Even Zach's got his own travel bag sorted now! I swear, if it wasn't for the fact that he's currently wearing his summer clothes, they'd be packed too! Boy's got issues!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I really hope we have a sleeper! My Mum actually said the benefit of bottle feeding was my Dad was able to do the night feeds so she could get a full(ish) nights sleep. Splitting time like that sounds like a good idea though! But I'm thinking as OH will be working from home we might juggle it so I get up during the night, but can catch any hours of zzz's that I need to feel human during the day? Guess we'll see what works!
Hope you enjoy you long weekend! Think we're due nice weather so being frugal won't be too hardWe don't have a single plan! Everything is dependent on me not falling asleep :rotfl: Planned to go do some shopping straight from work, but I'm feeling so tired that might not even happen. Weird to think this time next week the kid will be 25% done!
That's adorable about your OH! :rotfl: At least with him doing that now, it's one less thing for you to worry over getting sorted!0
