I think I will be pretty much stuck in London as we have things to sort out. Would you mind having a meet up there? Alternatively somewhere close to London? Or Brighton? Really want to take little Kavics there. And pls bring the MSE kids as well, little Kavics needs playmates!

Things with my man are going well, he came to visit this weekend and will come again in 2 weeks time. Feeling more and more confident about the whole thing.

Brighton is entirely in the wrong direction for me Kavics, it would take 4.5 hours to get there! I don't know what there is to do/where to go close to London. The train I get on stops at Newark and Peterborough on the way to London but I doubt there's anything exciting to do there?! If I get the right train it will stop at your station Cinny so we could travel together but being stuck in a small box with a bored toddler might put you off kids! :p

At work we (my boss and I) have been doing some presentations to everyone in the department to explain what we're doing (since we're a relatively new section who then got lumbered with another area and have had to sort it all out)... we worked really hard on the presentation and did the first ones on Tuesday (4 x 1.5hr sessions in 1 day! We could barely speak by the last one!) which went pretty well but we did 2 more on Wednesday and it was basically a verbal beating by the people we were presenting to for 3 hours straight and made us feel really disappointed and a bit worthless because if that's what people think of us and our team, why are we bothering, type of thing?! :( Got to do another 1 on Wednesday, then 2 or 3 next week and I'm not looking forward to it. I hope it's a case of just getting back on the horse and it'll be OK but I really just don't want to be here and dealing with this! :o

Glad you like the frame Flower! :j

Glad things are moving nicely with the new man Kavics :T

London is best for me but if we could maybe use my place as a base or something? Also I am happy to travel though!

This CC diet is not really working :( but I needed a new railcard and paid for it with tesco points so that's a small bonus!!

I think it might be more of a worry for you Birdie, if Z starts crying I have all the hormones in the world to start crying too :rotfl: If we do decide on London, just let me know if the train you get stops at Doncaster/Retford (either's fine!) and your seat and I'll book mine with yours. London would be nice though if everyone can make the journey? But what could we do with toddlers in London?!

I wouldn't pay much attention to the last few presentations. You said the first ones went well, so why won't the others? :) Hope they go well for you, be over before you know it!! Seems weird to do a presentation though?!

At least the credit card diet is making you think about what you're spending, Tink! And :money: for paying for your rail card with CC points.

Can you leave your CC at home Tink? It's difficult to get out of the habit so don't beat yourself up too much, just think that every time you use the CC, that's money from next month's pay check already gone because it'll be paying off the bill... which makes it more likely that you'll need the CC again because you'll be short!

No idea what one does with toddlers in London. What do the locals think?! :)

It is a bit weird to do presentations Cinny, never had to do them before but our new IT director seems keen on teams being 'visible' so we have to explain what we're here for...blah! :p Hope the one this afternoon is OK, we don't have more until next Wednesday so if it is bad at least I've got a week to get over it! It's just hard when you work your butt off and people do nothing but complain about the process and 'red tape' which are things beyond our control!

Aaaaaaanyhoo.... was Etsying yesterday and fell in love with this shop, think it's a bit Cinny-tastic too! :)

A woman I work with goes to London a lot with her Grandson but I think he's around 5/6ish so not sure any tips there would apply! :( I'm sure there will be a decent adult to toddler ratio so we can keep them entertained. Aren't there a few cafes in Hyde Park? If the weather is nice we could kick it around that end? Let the children run free? Find the Peter Pan statue? Let me cry into the serpentine? The possibilities are ENDLESS.

Will it be the 10th of October that we go for?

I love ALL OF THOSE THINGS, Birdie :happyhear Get yourself some cake to celebrate/soak up all the bad feelings after the presentation! Currently obsessed with the idea of Bruce Bogtrotter cake. And McDonalds fries (the latter I'm tempted to go and get today after a week of wanting them!)

I am very tempted to get a couple of hair clips for my holibobs... but then I think I need to have a cooler hairstyle to carry them off?! And now I'm thinking about colouring my hair (which is sadly becoming something that needs to be done thanks to all the grey appearing! ) and wondering what colour does one go for (other than black!) when your hair is brown?! All of this from looking at a cute hair clip! :o

That one is perfect for Disney! And honestly, you could probably go any colour you wanted. If you like your hair dark, you could get one of those colours with a red/blue/purple hue to them? Like this?

I really like this hairclip too, for obvious reasons.

OH text to say he's going to get me fries for my dinner. I'm feeling very emotional about it all. I've eaten so well/cleanly ever since I found out the news, so I think just once(*cough*honest*splutter*) will be okay.

Aww of course fries are okay for dinner! I reckon in the first few months, if it doesn't make you feel like hurling, it's fine! :p My DH read that I should be eating lots of fish for the omega-3 and made me eat all sorts of fishy stuff. Some days it was lovely, other days I'd text him from work begging for the love of all that is good and holy to *not* make me eat more freaking salmon because if I so much as caught a whiff of it I'd want to barf! ;)

I love that hotdog hairclip! Think I want the popcorn one as it's one of my favourite WDW snacks! I'm going to take myself to Boots/Superdrug tonight (if it's not raining!) and have a look at the dyes. I don't really want to go through the whole lightening my hair to add another colour faff as I'm pretty rubbish with upkeep, as well as having super fast growing hair, and I hate dark roots so it's a recipe for disaster. I say that... but I really want pink hair! :rotfl:
