Forms being sent by post to sign and return.0 -
Web page for the bonds temporarily unavailable.0

Typical government department IT. Frankly I really can't be bothered with such a small maximum amount. Not worth the aggro.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0

Yes I just had the email from NS&I and the page link to apply is unavailable and the phone is continually busy.0

still down"enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0

Yes, I have the same problem.
Every plausible link to 65+ Bonds gives "503" error message.
Telephone numbers 0500007007, 0500500000 and some 0123... number are all busy; they all offer ringback but when selected it gives a not-available message.
Can a spokesman from NS&I confirm that despite their incompetence they will still allow me and my wife to buy some bonds?
If not, does this amount to fraud?0 -
I know these bonds cannot be registered for gross interest under the R85 scheme.
Can anyone advise a PAYE pensioner how to reclaim the tax paid at the end of financial year?I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
Have read the Bumfff associated with the launch of the New 65+ Pensioner Bonds; but no where does it explain how to withdraw the investment at the end of the period! ! Any thoughts or explanations please.0

Link still crashed and phone line continually unavailable.
This is going to be another farce like trying to buy tickets for the Olympics0 -
Since the site is down , and there seemed to be confusion a few weeks back on here on the payment of interest. Did anyone see the detail before the pages went down today that confirmed the interest will be added yearly in the case of the 3yr ones, so will be compounded , although not available until end of 'bond' -- Is that right ?
UPDATE The site is up again , or at least the t&c parts are working , so to answer my own question, it confirms that the interest ' is added yearly' -so it must be compounded. (albeit the basic tax on interest is already removed before adding the interest to the capital so I suppose only the net interest is compounded)0
