A comment by the OP - who wants advice on reporting someone for alleged benefit fraud in this thread - from the link in reply #23:I hope whoever did the reporting feels guilty when they get their 30 pieces of silver. My friend is a lovely person.
Would you enjoy spending your 30 pieces of silver, bluelass?
Don't you just hate double standards, posters?0 -
If you are in the reporting mood you could start with Sue Marsh0

haha of course i must be the same person, why because i stuck up for the OP & because i dont agree with most of you?!
so far most have just slagged the OP off for there opinion, weather bitter or not which isnt the point, when there is to sides of this.
Yes there are people who rightfully deserve the benefits they receive but at the same time there are people who do fraud the system & are taking money out of the budget that could be spent on the NHS or someone who actually needs it.
So if some one has concrete evidence that some one is committing fraud then they should put there evidence forward, weather bitter or not.Debt free after 10 year:)0 -

I wouldn't disagree with you on your last sentence - I said as much in post #8.
However, I'm not sure the OP does have 'concrete evidence' that this person is committing fraud.
I've slagged (to use your terminology) the OP off for her double standards in another thread where she's complaining about a 'vengeful ex' reporting her friend (as it turns out, she was guilty of not declaring income) but apparently doesn't see the irony in considering reporting her neighbour - about whom she seems bent on constructing a 'case' against him but doesn't seem to really know the facts.0 -
this is all the fault of this coalition, cobbled together govt they have set neighbour on neighbour, friend on friend and family on family, and WE have allowed them to do it
it really is like banging your head against a brick wall on here sometimes
there have always been people that are envious of people that receive benefits that they don't deem deserving.
my nan's next door neighbour routinely reported people for all kinds of perceived offences!0 -
i dont agree.

And so they should, I would do the same. Remember they have teams to investigate people and a hotline to report them. If they have nothing to hide nothing to fear. I think there is a fair few people whose disability/injury improves and they fail to tell the DWP. People learn to live with the extra money and are scared to let it go along with the other assistance/perks/advantages afforded to the disabled.0 -
I have nothing personal against him or his wife and he is not my neighbour I live 2 miles from him. He is the sort of person who finds a claim in almost anything, he has tried to sue a few shops for slipping on wet floors, food etc. How do I know you ask? he openly talks about it and it is possible to take crutches from a hospital the pysio dept has boxes with them in in their reception area so anyone could take off with a pair and as someone else said you can buy them off the net ebay sells them. He even goes around talking about holidays they go on every 4 months, he as 2 sons in early twenties who have autism and they don't work. He says he had a motability car taken off him a few years ago because he was deemed no longer requiring it but he managed to buy another one. No I am not a snooper this man readily tells others of his situation pretty foolish given others who work cant afford to run a car. im lucky I have epilepsy and take meds but have petite mals almost every day I can no longer drive but I work in a admin dept which I like and my hubby has a good job but we pay tax so this man can go on hols.Britain is great but Manchester is greater0

Well if his had his car taken of him his obviously not claiming dla anymore. His sons obviously claim money and his most likely their carer.0

Stealing crutches from a hospital?
I'm sure I've seen Sid James do that in a carry on film.Chances are I'm in this thread asking questions as I love to learn new stuff. (Did you know all polar bears are left handed?)0
