Hi NittyGritty
As madmoggies says, at the same time we announced new gas prices, we launched an updated version of our 1 year Fixed Tariff (version 14). The electricity prices on this tariff are lower than the previous version (13).
Gas prices, though, are lower than previously on all our current tariffs.
Hope this explains.

E.ON_Rep:_Malc wrote:Hi Meadows Sounds like you've signed up for Price Alerts. Alerts go out no later than 10 days after the new version launches. Although restricted to fixed term tariffs taken out after 6 December 13, this service isn't available to customers signed up to the MSE Collective tariff
No explanation's need but thanks, no I am not signed under MSE collective, been with Eon a long time and yes I am signed up for alert tariffs which I normally get quite quickly - though not this one so no doubt that will come in due course so glad I heard the news and checked new tariffs as each day swapped is in my favourEverything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

I am currently in credit on my Eon account and they wrote to me approx 2 weeks ago saying they would be lowering my monthly direct debit. The letter didn't make it very clear whether this was because I was in credit with them or this was because they have lowered their rates due to their savings. Does anybody know whether or not they have passed these savings onto the consumer already? Or is it something that will be happening in the future?
Hopefully I'm in for more savings soon
Hi Chance89 and welcome to the Forums.
Thought I'd pop on and let you know, the Monthly Direct Debit review you've just had isn't linked to our recent announcement about gas prices.
We review payment arrangements every 3 months. This is to make sure they're on track to achieve as near as possible to a zero balance by the time of the annual review. Payments are based on past usage and current prices. If either changes so will the payments. Credit on the account will be taken into consideration too.
We'll only change the amount at the mid-point or annual reviews. At the other times, if necessary, we'll recommend a change but leave it up to you to make any alterations. Any changes will be confirmed in writing.
Also thought you might be interested in a facility on our website that gives you more control over the monthly payments. It's called the Direct Debit Manager and, if you've registered online, it lets you make changes to the payments. Comes in handy should circumstances change.
Provided the account is billed up to the latest meter readings, you can change the monthly payments by up to 20 per cent up or down. By up to 5 per cent up or down without readings. Before putting the change through, we'll let you know by how much we anticipate the account will be in credit/debit if the new amount is confirmed but usage doesn't alter accordingly.
You'll only benefit from the new gas prices if you're on the standard Energy Plan tariff. Prices on our existing fixed tariffs won't change although we've just released another version of the 1 year fixed tariff. You can change to this or any of our other tariffs without picking up any exit fees.
I'd pop your details on to the independent comparison sites. This will list all the tariffs available both with us and with the other suppliers.
Hope this helps Chance89. Let me know if you need any more information as happy to help.
