I have to wonder though, if people would have even noticed, if Cadbury's had not told anyone! :D

I have to agree though, that the 'shell' feels thinner.

The case for the Walnut Whip is worse.

After abstaining for many years I had one a few months back and was shocked to discover, aside from being notably smaller, that the thick textured chocolate was now some thin, shiny tasteless stuff and the light, fluffy marshmallow type filling had been replaced with a sweet sticky goo.

There really should be a public enquiry into these chocolate scandals.
  • I tried a Creme Egg and it tasted ok to me, like another poster has said, would I have really noticed if I didn't know? Probably not! My partner said he doesn't like the new taste at all though.

I'd rather have a galaxy caramel egg any day (and twice on Sundays)

£1 for a 3 pack in Iceland yesterday, much superior taste to Dairy Milk anyway let alone the new imposter wrapped round creme eggs.

I don't buy anything Cadburys on principle. You may think it's petty but they made an aggressive takeover bid on a philanthropic company who looked after their workforce for generations and reneged on a promise not to sack workers. The female CEO was a coward in not attending meetings with government officials to explain. To my mind she can stick her eggs where the sun don't shine.

But M and S do a decent ish copy.
I get a pack each time I visit.
Sometimes they are on offer too.
As for the eggs, I dunno, I don't much like them, but wish people would stop messing about with these sort of things and tell us after that the change is permanent. How about trying them out first and seeing if enough people like them, then make the change.

Why do Americans like to mess up things? I knew something like this would happen when Kraft bought Cadburys...

Firstly they are selling creme eggs in packs of 5, instead of 6. I'm not completely outraged by this

But also they're stopping using Dairy Milk chocolate for the chocolate in Creme Eggs!

You may think it's silly me ranting about this before I've tried one and I am going to go try one to see what it's like, but I have a feeling I most likely wont like it or prefer the taste of last year's Creme Eggs

If it's disgusting I will be boycotting them this year and if you all feel the same feel free to do the same. If sales are low and we bombard them with on social media they may change the receipe back next year. Let the revolution begin!

  • Cadbury have been doing stuff like this ever since they were taken over a few years ago.

The 4 pack multi-bars of Flake, Crunchie etc changed to 3, same price though. And the bars are smaller too.

Their meddling didn't work with me, I just don't buy Cadbury anymore.
