Why do Americans like to mess up things? I knew something like this would happen when Kraft bought Cadburys...
Firstly they are selling creme eggs in packs of 5, instead of 6. I'm not completely outraged by this
But also they're stopping using Dairy Milk chocolate for the chocolate in Creme Eggs!
You may think it's silly me ranting about this before I've tried one and I am going to go try one to see what it's like, but I have a feeling I most likely wont like it or prefer the taste of last year's Creme Eggs
If it's disgusting I will be boycotting them this year and if you all feel the same feel free to do the same. If sales are low and we bombard them with on social media they may change the receipe back next year. Let the revolution begin!

5 creme eggs indeed!
And what ARE they going to use, if not Dairy Milk chocolate? No debt left now. Saved £111 in our sealed pot last year. And £272.13 this year! Also we have £2300 in savings. :j

All I can say is they better taste the same/better or there is going to be a revolt!
Probably more of the 'Health by stealth' business (happened to kitkats a while back from what I hear, they twiddled with the filling to lower the fat content) or just plain penny pinching. ¬¬0 -

Yes but Creme Eggs don't actually have that many calories in compared to traditional chocolate bars. They've already reduced the size a few years back to make the stealth health idea!0 -
5 Creme Eggs in a pack? Do the Americans not understand that we buy our eggs by the box of 6? You might as well change the shape of them to a ball, and forget the link to them being a kind of 'egg'.
As for the change in chocolate, don't get me started. It's a slippery slope to all their chocolate being substandard (ie not Dairy Milk standard).:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

NobodysChild wrote: »And what ARE they going to use, if not Dairy Milk chocolate?According to The Sun newspaper, consumers reported that the latest batch of Creme Eggs did not have its familiar taste. Cadbury confirmed to the tabloid that it has switched out Dairy Milk for a "standard cocoa mix chocolate" in the shell.
“It's no longer Dairy Milk," a Mondelez spokesperson told the Sun. "It's similar, but not exactly Dairy Milk."

just hope they dont use Bourneville Dark Chocolate0 -
First world problems eh.
Cost of raw materials goes up = companies have to either reduce pack/increase price/change ingredients.
Nothing creates more rage than price increases so they have gone for the next two options. I bet if the media hadn't picked up on it most people wouldn't even notice it was a 5 pack not 6 and had changed ingredients.0 -

Think we might have noticed when Marley and I had the first two ... then the next two ... and then he didn't get an egg in the final round. (Seriously, who wouldnt notice a change from 6 to 5?)
As for the change in chocolate, darn tootin' I would notice. I'm a choccoseur.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
