My money my choice.

They make them in Birmingham. I've seen the production line!0 -
How is it working?
anyone who wants one covered in dairy milk will stop buying, anyone who wants six in a pack will stop buying.
Just think of all these people complaining about it, I reckon a lot of them will go out and buy these new eggs 'just to try' them. I'd also bet that the vast majority of the "I'll never buy again" brigade will in fact do just that.0 -
Funny thing is they havent actually decreased the pack sizes, they've actually increased them. creme eggs have always been avlaible in packs of 3 and 6. Now its 5 and 10
Actually they were always available in 3, 6 and 12 packs. This has now been changed to 5 and 12 (not 10) with the 3 packs seemingly biting the dust.
Incidentally, I purchased some yesterday out of curiosity after all this ridiculous OTT complaining. Happily I can report that they taste absolutely no different to how they always have. People complaining hysterically about nothing as usual.0 -
they twiddled with the filling to lower the fat content)0

What I noticed was that the 5 packs were £2 and 12 packs were £4. So encouraging you to spend more to get them cheaper per egg (not that I'd have a problem eating 12).

I love a crème egg, and brought one yesterday after reading this thread.
Still taste great, I doubt I would have noticed the difference unless I had and old one then the new one.
Yes it would have been nice to still be able to buy a three pack, but most places that sell them offer a two for £XX deal anyway.0 -
Well as I usually buy creme eggs anyway and as promised I did buy one.
I could certainly taste a small difference in the chocolate. It was more the aftertaste than anything, The fondant filling has stayed the same which is the most important thing about a creme egg! But it's still disappointing the chocolate taste isn't as nice. Also I noticed the shell was a bit thinner, not sure if it's just the egg I had or not but usually there's a lot more chocolate at the top of a creme egg than the one I had.0 -
There isn't going to be any chocolate in a few years, enjoy them while you still can.
At least wait until after Easter when they will be 10p each at Home Bargains, then who cares what they taste like? the effect after eating 5 in a row will be the same.Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.0
