Hello
I ordered a table on https://www.homewish.uk on Friday. Used this company as they where a good price and offered free next day delivery
This morning I received this email
""Dear ***** *****,
Thank you for your recent order with Homewish.
Unfortunately, due to a PayPal system issue, your order has been delayed.
Whilst we are hoping that your order will be processed within the next couple of days, it can take up to 3 weeks to process your order. This is the maximum amount of time it will take.
We are working overtime to resolve this matter and we hope to deliver your furniture promptly.
Should you not wish to proceed with the possible delay, just reply to this email and a full unconditional refund will be made.
Please accept our sincere apologies for this setback, we will keep you updated on your order.

Upon checking my Paypal account I could see that I had been charged, and my available credit had gone down on my Tesco Credit card. So I thought that it was very strange that they where saying it would take up to 3 weeks to process payment? So I decided to give them a call on the phone number displayed on the website. I could get no answer, just rang and rang.
By now I was feeling very nervous about the transaction so I replied to the email asking to cancel my order
and received this reply back
""Dear ***** *****,
Invoice Number: *****
Order Date: 09/01/2015
Your order has been cancelled.
This is usually because you have requested to cancel the order.
If you are due a refund, this will be processed at the same time as the cancellation. This takes approximately 3 - 5 days to reach your account.
We hope that you will visit us again in the future.

However I have not received an email from Paypal to say transaction has been cancelled?
Should I be worried yet?

Get in touch with paypal and get your money back.
Several other linked companies where the finances dont look that great. A Director from one of those is the manage at this one.

Think they are being in from china and delivering, hence the 3 week lead time0 -
Got home from work today and called homewish again. This time a man answered and he told me that they had an issue there end with Paypal and they hadn't received payment. He then went on to say they had asked Paypal to refund me and I should receive refund in next few days. Which kind of contradicts them saying they haven't received payment!
Still not convinced I called Paypal and they said that the company had received my payment instantly when I paid last Friday, and that no refund had been issued. Paypal said they have no idea what the company is on about. I have to wait till Friday to do a chargeback though
Hoping the fact I used Paypal and paid with my Tesco credit card means I will get my money back, fingers crossed0 -
I have the same problem. I bought table from this site. Status was about one week paypall delay, now its new order and waiting for despatch. No answer for my emails at all. They are doing messy from people. If you please let me know how your case is finished. Did you get your money back allready?0

It is a scam website. Got no reply from homewish after I emailed again to request a refund.
I managed to get my payment reversed via PayPal and has now showed as a credit on my credit card.
I had a lucky escape.

Anyway, after a few days I received another email from them saying that my order was being processed. It was delivered 2 days later.
I have since placed a second order with them and all was smooth. Received the order the next day.0 -

My payment that Homewish said was "under review", Paypal said had gone through and Homewish had received the funds instantly. Also Homewish lied about refunding me so had to claim money back through paypal :mad:0
