Kitchen floor swabbed, shower room s/and/s'd, curried parsnip soup made and slurped, bread made, food for tomorrow sorted.
The train would take two hour longers each way and cost double, so it doesn't really matter how much parking costs at the hospital; he's too ill for me to stay any length of time and he's heavily sedated.
The vets don't stock the sedatives I'd like for Mrs Dog so they're going to write a prescription for her and see if any of the other local practices keep it. I'm to monitor her water intake over a 24 hour period to see if she is, as I think, drinking more than normal - the vet agreed I didn't need to take her in for an examination, thank goodness. I heart my new-to-me-vet. Mrs Dog seems much calmer today but I have good reasons to think we've only got her for a short time now and I don't want her having to go somewhere she's petrified of just to hear that she can't be cured. We all know that, so I just want whatever time she has left to be stress and pain free. She's snoozing calmly, managed a bit of lunch, and mainly sticking to her basket by her puffer rather than following me around.

Poor you YL It sounds like you've got loads on your plate at the moment. But don't underestimate what you've achieved. You've done loads. It's easy to think that the never ending chores we do somehow don't count, but they do! Is there any chance of cancelling your meeting?MMSSB Club Founder Member

Back from bd appointment & I've been discharged
Getting out and walking there and back in the sunshine has lifted my mood, but the exercise has worn me out (especially the walk back from the shops with 3 very full & very heavy carrier bags & my satchel also filled!). I need to get up and go out every day I think to get my fitness levels back up.
DD is home and has lots of homework to do apparently. There goes my quiet evening as I'll be getting 50 questions and asked to search for stuff all night now

I've downloaded my email, and I'll be updating my finances as soon as I've had a deleting session. Pretty sure I don't need promotion emails from 2011 any more
Might tackle some more of the list later, or I might leave it until tomorrow and instead tackle my frog pile:wave:

If you're spaying furniture you've definitely lost the plot! Don't fret, the dust will still be there next week so re-evaluate what you ar classing as essential and downgrade a few things to give yourself a break.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Yorkshirelass When work is manic, can you get anyone else in the house to do more? I can't remember if you have children old enough to help, or still living at home. If so, call a family meeting, make it clear that everyone needs to pull their weight, or you can't do two jobs - well, three really with all the work at home!
Livingroom and hall Done! (Well, just a few odd bits left, mainly because DS1's not done a post run, so all the packages here still). It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Hugs to all who need them. Dusty how stressful and what the *****is the NHS coming to? All the staff are so good once you get in there, but that is the real issue.
Took Mr Narc0 to the GP as he needed re-signing off work. He's been signed off for another month, but she was quite pleased with his progress and reassured us about a couple of niggles we'd been fretting about. Blood tests on Fri to check how things are going.
Did 3 hrs at uni then Mr T on the way home.
This evening's plan is to PROPERLY file everything I used for the tax return and make proper provision so next year's is easier. Ha ha sure I said that last year. Feel confident I can permanently chuck a few files away.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

I have washed the kitchen and utility floors and cleaned the windows in the hope that this makes things look better. DW emptied, washing hung out, dog walked, couple of necessary e-mails sent, chicken in the oven for tea. Going to flick the duster around and spay a bit of polish in the general direction of the furniture.
Have to go to a meeting tonight which I could really do without.
Oh dear, I feel exactly the same. And I only have one, part time, job. You are doing so well. But as everyone has said, the dust will still be there in a week or two whether we wipe up or not. I'm barely fluttering at the moment, and only keeping pace with the laundry and the kitchen. Although I have vacced the LR rug tonight.
On the plus side, I've done a bit more cooking in the last few days, and we are back to sit-down-in-the-dining-room meals which is helping. It's healthier and the littlies are showing their table manners again. I'd let things slip a bit and allowed them to eat at the small table in the LR.
Bedding is clean but bedrooms are untidy as is the conservatory, but I can live with that. I'm seeing a chink of light in my tunnel, so I know I will be back to flight mode in a week or so. XBossymoo
