I've done 2 miles just trotting about the house today.. already..
.. I need to sit down more.
oh..
Solar people rang and yelled at .. waiting on a callback!
Dentist sorted for Tiddles.. I rang up.. oh she already has an appointment.. 5pm on a day she is at mr perfects.. duly cancelled and rearranged for tomorrow morning.. I NEED a reason to go in to make appointments for everyone else.. I never did get the appointment through for myself so I need to chase that, I think 3 years is long enough to wait. I know I am a child but I told him not to make the children appointments without my knowledge so this is what he will get.
Smear appt made.. Monday 11am .. trying to scare AF into turning up.. it usually works.. it won't this time though because that is my intention.. it is overdue anyway so I do need to go.
Off to the post office and then to make opticians appointments and then to make eyebrow appointments and then to pick up prescriptions I think.. at least it's not raining!
Best empty the WM's first.. oops.. I forgot about their repairs.. I'll do those after the shop run as I need to paper shuffle to find the folder with the warranties in.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Dusty I'm so sorry to hear that your Mum's surgery was postponed. (((HUGS))) to you both.
HB (((HUGS))) and posi-vibes; you seem to have way too much to cope with; and a very gentle (((HUG))) for Mrs Dog, of course.DundeeDoll wrote: »Fridge freezer cleaned (how does dog hair get into the freezer?!)DD PASSED HER DRIVING TEST WOOOOOOOT!I am almost needing to replace all our door knobs with handles as I am unable to open them now my hands are so weak and painful and useless
My hearing aid has now been sent away for repair.:( I should get it back in about 10 days.
My desk actually looks properly tidy, for the first time since before Yule; just one outstanding Frog (or more accurately, half-a-frog, as it's been started) - going through the pile of CDs Mr LW found when he tidied out his bedside cabinet; I've identified the contents of three of the seven; need to finish doing that, then make some nice labels and put them in some empty boxes I rescued from the garbage (they're just in paper covers at present). They're all in a neat pile though, so it's not a messy Frog.;)
We had a bunch of junk mail through the door today, so as the bin men hadn't yet been, I took it straight outside and stuffed it into the recycling bag which was out ready for collection. Decluttered before it even had chance to make itself at home!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all,
Not pushing myself today as ive just done the long walk down to Moms residential home and back and I'm a bit knackered now.

I can't believe what I've read Dusty. I really hope your mum has no delay in 2 weeks time.
Congratulations to your DD Valli.
LW sounds like a great cruise! I'd rather stick pins in my eyes that get on a boat. I can be seasick on a peddalo in a millpond.
I've done the school run, walked Coco - so muddy! Been to my extra job. I've hoovered downstairs, up the stairs and the landings. Both bathrooms have been cleaned. Empty bottles chucked. New towels put out for everyone. 3 loads of washing (towels). Kitchen cleaned. Sink disinfected after DS2 cleaned his football boots in it.
DD2 is off school, I had to collect her early yesterday. Sore throat and temperature. She helped me make a banana and chocolate chip loaf which is filling the kitchen with lovely smells as it cooks!
Torrential rain followed by glorious sunshine twice so far today. I walked doggy in the sun. Debating weather to trot up the school with her. Don't fancy getting soaked!0 -
dustykitten Oh no, your poor mother, can't believe it was cancelled at such terribly short notice. Still sending hugs anyway.
Valli Huge congratulations to Miss Valli. :j
Work this morning, and first solo lesson taught since return - survived, went quite well, although it's a class of students who hate change of any kind. I ignored mutters of complaints! Bribed them with house points.
Need to get a few bits, just waiting for heavy shower to stop, and then will do livingroom - in reasonable shape anyway, as am relocating items as I see them.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Oh Flyladies, I am struggling. Both jobs are manic, I am soo tired, so much to do. Keeping on top of the basics is hard going at the moment.
I have washed the kitchen and utility floors and cleaned the windows in the hope that this makes things look better. DW emptied, washing hung out, dog walked, couple of necessary e-mails sent, chicken in the oven for tea. Going to flick the duster around and spay a bit of polish in the general direction of the furniture.
Have to go to a meeting tonight which I could really do without.0 -

Yorkshirelass - hugs, you've done more than me.
Thank you all for your kind words. I tweeted local MPs to ask if there was a beds problem here, one has replied saying he has had a briefing and no, him and the health trust are investigating what is going on. It will not change anything but may help us know if the same thing can happen next time.
Been to Mr A, good offers on so spent more than I planned but stocked up on some basics and a few treats for the boys. Returned the last pair of shoes.
Kittens are busy investiagting the bags of shopping so best I put them away and then hoovering and mopping for me.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Positive vibes winging their way over the Pennines right now.
I suppose there's no way out of the meeting tonight?
I've given the kitchen a really good clean, even stood on the step-stool and done the tops of the cupboards. I think that's enough stretching for one day, I have a while before I need to look at doing dins (veg stew tonight - Mr LW has already cut the veg up ready, to save my fingers, I just need to make dumplings and construct the stew) so I think I'll have another bash at those CDs.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I've finally managed to start this - been meaning to do so ever since I moved into this flat!
I've done the kitchen/hall/living room floors and the bottom 3/4 of one window - I picked the one the EA sign left the most sellotape gunk on... I don't suppose anyone has any idea where I can get a reasonably priced stepladder so I can do the top 1/4? I already have one with 2 steps and it isn't tall enough!0
