Well done Quidsy that is a brilliant loss.

    Day 155, 1710 calories.

Today I am going to enter my sewing room and not come out until I have been through everything and got rid of all things no longer needed on board which will no doubt include a lot of fabric. It is going to rain heavily all day so there seems little point in trying to do anything outside. I am cooking vegetable and ham soup - not something I would normally associate with flaming June.....and tonight I am going to have mushroom something not quite worked out yet, maybe a curry of some sort.

    Day 156, 1670 calories.

I have been clearing and sorting all day, very satisfying it has been too. I seem to be ready to throw away (well charity shop) much more stuff this time round. There are now 5 bin bags of stuff down in the kitchen, ready to be wheeled round to the chazza, including one just containing handbags, and another that is shoes. I have cleared out the airing cupboard (9 fitted sheets, 23 pillow cases, 17 towels) all ready for a bucket and spade holiday in at my brother's house in Normandy after which they will be disposed of as I am coming home by plane. Usually old sheets and towels go to the dog home but this time I need them.

And whilst I have started on the fabric there is much more to do. Looking at the weather forecast tomorrow is more of the same so I may end up having sorted out the whole of the upstairs which will be fantastic.

Keeping busy helps with the eating too, there have been no snacks today but my meals have been tasty and I have stayed within my allowed calories. I am interested to see if this new approach means a better weight loss, weigh in day is Monday.

I need to re-motivate as well Tootallulah - I've only lost 1.5lbs in the last 6 weeks! I'm doing slimming world but I count calories as well, and it does work better for me than just doing the plan.

I need the structure of going to group and getting weighed every week to keep me focused, but I find if I don't keep an eye on the calories I "naturally" overeat.

I've not had a great week this week but will try to get two good days in before weigh in!

  • Well done ladies for great losses and/or getting refocused.

I put on a pound at weigh in last week which was no real surprise after the weekend before! I'm trying to be good but lots of social things going on and more to come in the next 2 weeks.

Went out with friends Friday night and limited myself to 2 cocktails and a coffee but we had a load of tapas as well. Very hard to point, so I counted it as 25 and 10 each for the cocktails and 4 for the coffee. Still haven't used all my weeklies, however I also have a child's birthday party to go to this afternoon!

Hi Both, yes the summer ramps up interesting invitations and social eating opportunitites, but we are here for all of 2015 so I am hoping it balances out. My aim for July and August is to stay the same...France and Malaysia are two of my food heavens and I want to enjoy them both. And that makes June much more key for me I want to lose 8lbs in June which will drop me close to the next stone down.

I am still sorting, so MUCH STUFF. I have found a mountain of clothes that still have the tags on including a lot that fit now which is good, lots of turning up to do this evening, 5 pairs of summer trousers. Many more bags are now downstairs ready for the charity shop collection.

I suppose the really big clear out will be the end of the summer when all the 22s will go. I do want to at least have worn them all for one season. I am not going to sew any clothes for a while I have too much already. That means I will be making things for charity, peg bags, Barbie clothes, soft toys, rag dolls, and baby stuff. That will be nice for a change.

Nipping out in between showers to plant out the remaining annuals so that I can clear up my garden, greenhouse etc. I am eating broad beans from my garden tonight - the first of the season I pick the peas as they become ripe they never make it to the kitchen. I have just realised I am doing loads of stuff, I must have more energy perhaps this weight loss is having an effect.

    Day 157, 1598 calories.

I lost 4 lbs this week which feels great! It will be interesting to see how the coming week goes. I definitely eat less counting calories so hopefully it should be another 2lbs at least. Being 3 stones down is in touching distance now. I want to be there by the end of June.

Just started WW last week, and need to shift about 30 lbs. Was horrified at first meeting to discover my own scales show 6lb lighter...this has been confirmed by several family members who all say they LOVE our scales!! Have never really tried to lose weight before, but I've gained 2st in 3 years (thanks menopause) and really can't afford to replace entire wardrobe, as current clothes now hurt!

Have found this weekend a bit tricky as we went out for an Indian meal and drinks with friends - curry of choice would be a chicken tikka masala, rice and peshwari naan, washed down with lager, and bookended with onion bhaji's and mango kulfi. Great restraint was exercised, and severe plate envy was experienced. Feel a bit better about it now, but too early in the weight loss process for there to be any results to compensate!

Well done on the restraint Alikay! Good luck to you.

I've lost 1lb this week, but I'm relieved to have lost anything to be fair.

    Must do better!

    Good luck all xx
