Have gone over our budget this month by £13.70 - not too bad and know the reason why so that helps.
Off to July now. Good luck to everyone who hasn't yet declared.
    MARCH £62.38/250
  • Last day of the month, so I should update. We spent yet another £50.55 on stuff. I think me and OH have to try much harder next month. so total for this month is £241.76 :(

Managed to come in over £100 under budget in June which might be a little cheating as DH and I were on holiday for a week but I did have to stock up the freezer for DS2 and DD so I am well chuffed :) Over to July now see you all there

Wow well done everybody that hit target, and commiserations to anybody that went over. I busted my budget by just over a tenner :/

Just finished totalling up my figures for June...

Official budget was £244.90, and my spreadsheet says we bought/used groceries with a value of £206.10 which puts me comfortably under that target :T

    BUT

I set myself an unoffical target of £200, which I've gone over
And a target of handing over no more than £105 in shops, and I handed over £116.60 so I blew that one too

However, both of those got 'bust' because I bought £55.50 worth of raw meat from Costc0 (actually cost me £43.50 as it was all on offer) which I've barely touched yet. So I'm quite happy with how little I broke both my unofficial targets by ;)

The Costc0 meat spend also did noticeable damage to my split between shop spends and stock usage. I wanted to be at least 40% stock use (preferably 50%+), and I've only managed 17% (Still, even without the Costc0 spend it would have only been 23%!) But I have used a fair amount of stuff bought since 1st Jan that was still in the house, so that means I'm going to have to work on long-term stocks over the next few months while I try and keep shop spends as low as possible.
