Increased the budget to allow for a possible Easiyo shop, which hasn't gone ahead but yet only got £80 odd left. Tut tut ..... Have added the two big shops from Tesc* and Asd*

    Hiya all :hello:

Hi Lynne, yes everything fine thanks. Just finding the hours are passing me by in a fast flash. I only work pt, but between work life and home, i seem to be forever meeting myself coming backwards. Hope you are good and had a nice holiday.
Glad all okay and know the feeling when life gets in the way :)
I had a super holiday thanks - looking forward to the next one in September :D

Had to throw out quite a bit of fruit/veg on the weekend and we both felt incredibly guilty about it. Not quite sure how it happened either as we bought the same amount as always and haven't been eating out. Will try to watch that more carefully in future.
Don't forget you can make soup with the over-due veggies. I usually label it 'bottom soup' - made from left-overs in the bottom of the fridge. If there's not much just steam/simmer what you have and freeze until you have enough to make soup :money:

I forgot a couple of things at week-end so DH had to shop for softener, mozzarella and parmigiano = Morrys = £4.11. Still on track though atm

Hope you all have a thrifty Thursday

    Hi all,

    Budgets updated to here :)

    Welcome back plymouthscubagirl :D

Things not so great here, in that we have bust our budget for this month. A combination of not really trying and not being able to get to Aldi has contributed I think. Hey ho, roll on next month!!

Gammon steaks, hm chips, broccoli and peas for dinner nommmmmmmy

  • I fell off the wagon big time this week, easily
tesco (7 food but 30 on linen)
    27 (tinned fish and offers)
    lidl 1.50
    lidl 10
    convenience 20
small itms that i don't need are my downfall but i can't seem to stop. i know that i could eat out of the freezer and pantry easily till pay day.

organizing lunch for work is my downfall. 10 lunches till pay day is the real challenge for me.

I'm still within budget!!!! I have no idea how but I think when I got the shock of how much I'm spending last week it gave me a kick up the backside! I still have a fair amount in the stock cupboard which will carry over to next week and I'm doing much better with meal planning and eating what we have, not going and buying something else!
Today I'm taking the kids out for a nice family day with the money I've saved so far. It feels good to be able to say 'yes' again! I'm definitely on board for next month!

    Evening all :hello:

Did a little shopping over the weekend so just popped in to update
    Aldi..........£ 12.78
    Morrys......£ 9.71
    £world......£ 2.00
    Savers......£ 1.36
    So a total of £ 25.85 added.

This means I still have £ 48.45 left until end of month. I shouldn't need anything now for the rest of the week and will try to keep it down at the weekend again.

Hope you all have a money-saving Monday

Not updated for a few days as things have been busy here. Have now spent £151.94 from the £200 budget. Not sure if we will just make it or go over a little.
