Hoping for a NSD today. Had a scare last night. The red light and beeper for the temperature indicator in the fridge came on and when I opened the door it was warm  The freezer was still cold though so DH turned the whole thing off and back on and it seems to be doing ok now. I will have to keep an eye on it and anything that was in it will have to be eaten "with caution". Hope everyone has a good day :)

Back from shopping - just needed to top up the fruit and veg plus get some bleach & disinfectant. Mr Ts had an offer on D*mestos so bought a couple of extra to put in the cupboard for later - they were £1.50 instead of £3 so not much dearer than their own brand but I find it to be more effective than the own brand so worth the extra.

Total spend for today was £17.80. Will update signature shortly.

just dropping by to say hi!

I'm a little behind target so far... from £200 I have £117.92 left in my pot to last me until 31st May (19 days... )

However - I've been shopping at Lidl's and maybe someone could spread some joy.

The first week I was over charged (Refunded the second week)

Then last week I brought some fruit & Veg, got home (half hours drive) and emptied my fruit & Veg into the salad crisp drawer in the fridge to find the cherry tomatoes (that looked ok on top) we're mouldy and had some stringy stuff attached to them.

Lidl are sending me some vouchers but I wondered whether I'm just having a run of bad luck or whether I should drive the extra 5 minutes and head to Aldi....

I used to have both Aldi and Lidi within easy walking distance, but rarely bought fruit and veg from Lidl as it didn't look as nice (though I wouldn't have said it looked 'bad')

That said, I've suggested to staff at Aldi a couple of times they should take some off the shelf (clearly mouldy). I once took back a bag of carrots that were turning to slush after 1 day which is when they taught me how to read the dates on the packaging (were dated the day I bought them, but manager agreed they shouldn't have turned as fast as they did and refunded me), since when I've also pointed out some items that were out of date and still on sale a couple of times !!

£9.28 in Aldi yesterday, buying odds and ends including ingredients for a birthday cake, plus my spend in Asda on Friday. It's a dear month, and already struggling. Can't say no :(

So Tuesday is the main shopping day for Casa Sheba and includes me shouting for lunch for the mother and myself at our local wetherspoons-£11.98 for two steak dinners and two pints of shandy is too bargainous not to indulge in so including that spent 110.24 today but needed a few stock items like dishwasher tabs and the hubster needed beer. Think that leaves me at about 140 till the 28th so should be fine and for the record I include all food, eating out (unless a genuine event) all pet food and all household cleaning stuff and toiletries.

Just checked sig, 140.02 to last us till 28th

£76.12 spent online at Tesc* today. Needed lots of juice, so stocked up on Tymbark whilst on offer as my youngest loves it. Also, eldest daughter has gone back to vegetarian food; so had to buy more than usual. Bought a 5kg bag of Jasmine rice, and quite a bit of ice cream (intending on buying a machine at some point). So, should only need fresh stuff if I run out of anything. Oh forgot egg noodles when at Ald*, so daughter will pick them up for me possibly tomorrow.
