Done really well this month. Still got about £40 left and my month finishes friday. Freezer gone down quite a bit but I did a big clear out and threw a bit out. I hate throwing food away but had to get rid of things that had split open. Everything single thing in there is now usable. Nothing else to get so very happy x

    Afternoon all

DH spent £3.42 today on milk, lettuce and lambs liver. Slowly running out of funds now, though only eight days to go.

Oven-baked fish with potato gratin, peas and sweetcorn for dinner today, so quite easy and quick :)

Hope you all have a thrifty Thursday

I now have two shelves free in my freezer. I can't remember it ever looking so empty. I used a lot of the single things up so mainoy whole boxes now, frozen veg and chips, and ice creams/lollies!
Does anyone know if the aldi voucher is in tomorrow? Or is it next Thursday? Need to start emptying cupboard now! I am using up some baking ingredients tomorrow by making a fruit tea loaf and flapjack. This will mean I don't have to buy cake this week and I can reduce the amount of stuff in my baking cupboard! :T

The front page for the Mirror the morrow states that there are money-saving offers for Aldi inside. However - I think it is ten specific money- off items rather than off a total shop. HTH

Buy either the Sun, The Express, The Daily Record, The Telegraph or the Daily Mail on Sat 25th April and you will find a copy of Lidl News with a voucher on the back page saving you £5 when you spend £40.

Of no use to me. Nearest Lid! is an 8 mile round trip (so lots of the saving would be gone in petrol, as I'm not walking with £40+ worth of shopping), but I rarely spend that much in one go in any store these days (bar Costc0 when I need fresh meat) as I'm using up stocks, and only cooking for 2.
