Been shopping this morning and spent a total of £21.34 across several shops bringing my total so far to £139.16/£250 so doing OK.

Need to go back and update signature as had forgotten to add a spent of £4.80 in Morries on which I'd paid cash for rather than using card.

Now up to 14/20 NSD so also looking OK so far with another 9 days to go!

Spent up to the penny but pay day is Friday so that's the start of the new month for my budget (can't see a May thread though yet?)

Few events/things on in May: our sport's national championships (1st-4th in London = expensive), My mum's birthday, bf's mum's birthday, nephew's birthday, taking my parents to the caravan for a weekend but bf is also away for two weeks of the month so should be able to save a little. Plus if the weather holds out there will be lots of salads etc to use up meat/freezer stores ready for the summer

Going to be another NSD for me today - DH has accidentally taken my keys with him so I can't go out as won't be able to get back in if I do go out, LOL! That'll be 15/20 for the month so far.

Just glad I wasn't planning on going anywhere today.

I have recently saved over 50% on my sopping by switching from Tesco to Aldi - one has just opened opposite me, I was dubious as to whether to try it at first, but the quality is really good.

Small spends of £5.19 earlier today but will need to go shopping tomorrow or Friday.
Still been using a few items from the freezer but not getting very far with emptying some of the cupboards.
Have made some soup for tonight and will probably do some toasted cheese as well to have with it.

  • Well, its been a manic week again.

I had one spend of £54.61. That takes my monthly total to £217.40/£300. I've transferred the leftover to a savings account to pay for something baby related.

That's my month done (and I've already had a shopping week for the new month so I best pop on over to the May thread and get my new tally going).
How long til pay day?
