Morning, am taking a few mins over my breakfast before what is shaping up to be a busy day. I went to Ald! yesterday and spent £72.50, this was a lot more than I had planned, however DD came with me and I ended up getting her quite a few bits to take back to uni. It works out cheaper that way really as if I didnt do that she would end up going to Sainsbobs when she got back and I would then send her the money, she would have spent a lot more. Its been an expensive week, car had to go into garage for repairs and needed new tyre, whilst I was waiting for it, I wandered into town and bought few bits. I got some grass seed and weedkiller for garden, both from pound shop, also bought some cake and flowers to take to sick friend, so one day that wasnt NSD day, however only spent £10 and car doesnt come from food budget. I have now worked out how to amend signature!! so will update.
    Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

£2.10 spent on cat food yesterday. Used my 48p APG voucher.

What a kerfuffle! The queue behind me was going all the way to the back of the shop!

Apparently the store had been accepting loads of fake ones by mistake and the till assistants had been told off.

But it seemed the cashier I spoke to had no idea which numbers are supposed to match with the receipt, and frankly she panics every time I come in with a voucher. So I actually think she just doesn't learn well on how to check them.

    Oh well! :undecided

Thank you for all the kind wishes, yes it was quite scary especially the not able to breathe properly bit.
Happy to say that things are improving slowly just got to take my time doing anything.

Morry's this morning and brought lots of fruit/veg - broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries, rhubarb, mushrooms, watercress, bananas, apples, celery and a couple of other bits and bobs. Spent £16.11 in total.
Had a lovely salad consisting of watercress, smoked bacon, poached egg, celery and radish with some sourdough bread and a splash or two of balsamic for lunch. Delicious
Tomorrow have taken a ham joint out and we will have broccoli & cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and roasted tomatoes followed by strawberry and rhubarb pie. (Cheated a bit and brought some ready made pastry as don't feel like making my own just yet)
    MARCH £62.38/250

There's a concoction in the slow cooker. It's sunny but very cool outdoors as well as in. Am thinking I need to use my slow cooker more. Might make some rice pud in it tomoz. Have some really creamy milk that I don't like in coffee and tea so it will be good to use that up in a richey pud.

Forgot to say, had a food delivery today but it is already been added to my grocery costs below in signature. Think I should be in well under budget this month, even though we're only half way through, I have enough in now for at least another week. Will need to make a meal plan up again though as want to use up what's in instead of buying more just to stick to the meal plan.

Meal planned for the week before doing my aldi shop. My essentials came to £16.12:T
That was for fruit, potatoes and veg, ham, yogurts, milk, squash, coke and diet coke, frozen oven chips, garlic bread and a bottle of wine. So really happy with that. I can see to shelves now in the American fridge/ freezer. I want to clean it out next week before doing my big monthly shop although still have loads of cat food, washing powder and cereal so won't need much of those!
