i stopped to buy some fresh veg and spent another $55. Produce is so expensive this time of year butI got enough to last until early next week. ALso stocked up on frozen veg which we did not have.
I need to go to the warehouse store and purchase mass quantities of cooking oil and onions.0 -
We have used it for hot chocolate before, did in fact the other night, I find it quite sweet though. I wouldn't use it instead of cocoa as there is not enough actual choc flavour there for baking. Maybe stir into rice pudding?
Thanks for the suggestion!Grocery challenge-

Hi
Gone through and added up receipts, $731.10 but it is likely I will need to buy F & V before the end of the month so I wont post a final tally just yetLove people use things. The opposite never works.0 -
I have been rubbish. Spent at least £20 in the local C*op in the last week. I need to do a small shop tomorrow but I am already over budget. I will be declaring after tomorrows shop and joining March challenge. I really need to pay attention in March as it needs to be a 'get back on track' month. I haven't even had time to do a shopping list!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -

my monthly accounts close tonight for a restart tomorrow and I still have £5.23 in my purse - I KNOW I would have spent far more than this so really pleased with my first month

Really happy to be debt free after being a compulsive spender0 -
Haven't been posting much on here cos I got too embarrassed at being over!! :rotfl: Seriously, how silly is that. We've spent more than I would like, but still less that last month, and we're both still getting used to planning and grocery shopping for two.
I need to get some milk today but I'm hoping to get away with no other spends until the end of the month. I'm certainly learning a lot about DH's habits, and how to manage his needs as well as my own. I fell down over meal planning this month as well, so when I was ill the meals got a little haphazard! I think my budget was too low this month - better to have it a bit higher and come in under.
I've also just been told I'm slightly anaemic, so will need to be a bit more careful about getting enough iron in my diet in future!March 2020 grocery challenge $921.76/$500AU
April 2020 grocery challenge $744/$800
May 2020 GC $724.11/$750
June 2020 GC $370.31/$700
July 2020 GC $316.87/$7000
