Well February is already an overspend (the first in a long time) Today have spent £39.47 taking us £8.51 over - so far. Will need a few things on Sat but am guessing the overspend will be kept under £20 - fingers crossed. Having said that we did aim at £40 less this month so should be doable in normal months.

Last spend tomorrow, daughter is bringing me a lt of milk - no doubt she will pay for it but I've added it onto my spends as I would have had to go out and get some. So this month I'm .78p under budget - how close is that? pleased :)
  • Hi everyone.I've ended up over by about £10.00. It's the first time in ages I've been over but I let hubby and the kids decide what we were having for dinner and they inevitably picked something that I didn't have in so I had to go to iceland to pick it up. Going over to March now. Hope next month goes a bit better x

Ah bit of a bummer. Got carried away yesterday and spent about £40 on food. That puts me in the region of £30 over budget. Not too bad really but still a shame.

I will do better next month and will head on over to March as soon as I have charged my laptop :D

First on four shops in aldi over the next week. Yes I bought 4 papers today. This could all go horribly wrong! We are low on lots of things!
Didn't get any fruit or veg, or cereal , cat food etc (which is the stuff I usually stock up on!) so that bodes well!
In fact I'm not actually sure what I bought!
So £35.81 spend in aldi and £3 in tesco on some drain cleaner!

I am in total disbelief, I've checked, double checked and triple checked, and my total for this month is £202.82 / £280.00.

I really can't thank you all enough for all you tips and advice. Now I just need to see where the extra money went as my purse is still empty haha :)

Off to March Challenge now, as I shouldn't have to spend again, although Saturday is my last day supervising DS2 bag packing for 6 hrs in Mr M's. Perhaps that's why I've done so well, fed up of the place after all the bag packing haha
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

    Hiya

Well - a bit disappointed as there wasn't a voucher for A*di in the Daily R*cord as it has been postponed for Scotland :(

So didn't go to A*di but bought some stock cupboard and cleaning stuff in Home Bags = £10.31

I'm counting that in this month as I'm still under budget

Hope you all have a frugal Friday

I have been awol this month due to one thing or another, but my budget has gone a long way this month. I know only a short month, but have been trying to live out of the freezers/cupboards resulting in an underspend of £62 give or take odd pennies. Very happy as I needed to reduce stuff in my freezers, will do a stock take of freezers before I shop next month. Payday tomorrow and half of my excess grocery budget is going in my sealed pot. Declaring a total spend for Feb as £138.00 woop!! See you iun March ...ta ta.

  • I'm declaring for Feb at $451. I've learnt lots (sooo different when cooking/planning for two!) On to March I go! I'm bumping my target back up to $450 but will try to come in under.
