• Hi, really pleased with this week, my shopping day is tomorrow, and with it being half term, I really thought I'd have bought extra but only thing I've spent is £2 on milk this morning, as we'd ran out of both semi and skimmed!

Just need to do as well tomorrow now.

I'm finding it cheaper to count how many meals I need to get, buy enough for said meals, with whatever is on offer, then when I come home, see what's got to be eaten first, what's got to be frozen and devise meal plan from that, and chalk it up on my chalk board in kitchen so everyone knows what we're having :)

Tonight's meal is reduced sausage and mash, yum yum
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

Need to find all my receipts and update my total!
ETA: 3 shops in A1di since 13/2, £5.08, £1.38 and £49.93. I usually shop weekly but last week had a few smaller shops as I didn't want to fill the fridge as we were away over the weekend. Still in budget though :)

Back from shopping and £103.14 spent between A*di and A*da. I will need milk next week as we only get organic and A*da didn't have enough in to stock up.

I am still just about in budget - I think? I will update sig in a min.

The bill wouldn't have been as high but it is half term so I had the little two kids with me and pester power got the better of me. Plus the husband wanted beer, just because it was on offer! We don't even drink more than a couple of times a year so I should have said no really.

Hi everyone. I've got 40.00 left to last til next Wednesday (25th). Got plenty of dinner stuff in. Will just need the usual bread, milk, fruit etc. The only spanner in the works is that I'm re joining slimming world tonight. Last time I did it I lost over 4 stone. I've put some back on now so I'm determined to loose most of it before my sister 40th later In the year. Where going to Vegas to celebrate so I've got something to aim for.

The only problem I find when doing slimming world is that I spend so much on yogurts and Cereal bars. So this time I'm going to try to replace them with something else. In fact I don't really touch yogurt as it reminds me of being on a diet too much. Might replace the Cereal with Porridge for breakfast. Dinners are quite easy as I cook most things from scratch and I've managed to convert most of my favourite recipes to the slimming world way. So I've worked out I've got £5.00 a day to last. let's see how I get on. Good luck to everyone x

Good luck doing Slimming World. I really need to do something about my weight but have zero willpower. I have done SW a few times and lost a bit of weight, then I get complacent and stop following it, once I stop it just goes back on again.

I also find it really bumps my food bills up, hence why I am not doing it currently.

  • Good afternoon everyone.

Everyone seems to be doing so well.

    Have done a few spends.

Yesterday spent £15.43 in ald* on mainly fruit, veg, bread flour, yeast and other groceries. I also went to Mr Ts and spent £5.43 (I bought some ys seville oranges). So I am currently making a batch of marmalade.

Today went to morries and bought the half price potatoes for £2 and then to @sda to buy sugar for the marmalade 2kg for £1.15.

    Have updated my sig.

    Good luck all.:)

£20 in total today, lots of YS stuff but also £5 for DH cafe lunch grrrr I had an early start this morning and forgot to make packed lunch. It seems he did not think of making cheese sarnies at home.. Instead, he buys a cheese baguette in Pret. Men....
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
