Feel I have cheated this month as due to having real old fashioned flu .............. Will be glad to be on the mend soon.
I hope you're soon feeling much better.
Went to A*di today and spent £23.20. Went off list a little as bought couple of extras.
For all the Cheese peoples out there - they are selling their feta cheese (l-o-n-g date) and block parmesan at reduced prices atm so bought 2x feta and one parmesan even though didn't need them this week and will maybe get some more if still on offer later in month
Hope you all have a money-saving Monday

I've been a lazy updater this month. I have been reading each evening, but then scuttling off to bed each evening trying to bank as many resting hours as possible! Hehe. Everyone in the house either has or has had a horrible cold/cough/lurgie, and we're hoping we're all back on track now.
Trekking along nicely in terms of budgeting though. We seem to be far lower than last month and still dwindling the Christmas leftover stockpile.
Off to update our signature now.0 -
Had a small spend yesterday of £3.86 in the farm shop for some fruit & veg bringing total for month to £100.86/£250 so still looking OK but had hoped not to have spent so much at the midpoint of the month. Now looking as though there won't be as much leftover for the "bulk buy" pot/christmas as I had hoped with it being a short month.
I have already started my list for this week's shop on Thursday but some of this will come from my "holiday" budget as needed to go in the motorhome - things like teabags, tinned toms, beans etc. We started sorting out the motorhome yesterday as hoping to get away next weekend if the weather isn't too bad.
Today will be another NSD as not going out! Will update siggy now.

Well I've officially smashed my target of £200 this month (currently £238.03) although its payday Friday and don't need to buy anything until then. I have included eating out in this and I had a £25 lunch out with ex and children so not too bad considering. I''m not going to beat myself up over it though as, since I started this in January I've not had 1 canteen meal for lunch, and I've even had 7 NSD's this month too, which for me is nothing short of a miracle
And I have enough wine/cider to last me a good few months
So I'm thinking I may take the surplus £38.03 off my £200 target this month as I still have fully stocked cupboards and freezer. This is doable so long as I don't get the foreign students I am thinking of hosting. Lord knows how I will work out my food budget then??0 -
Right I have an action plan.
On Wednesday I will do a largish shop and try to get everything I need to last until the end of the month. Hopefully I won't have to go out for anything next Wednesday (which means I can use my food budget next Wednesday for the bills) Then next Thursday I will get the paper, assuming the A*di voucers are in there, and I can do a BIG shop 4th March using 2 or 3 vouchers... Hopefully the temporary cash flow problem will be a bit better by then.
Yesterday and today have been nsd's.
I have the dreaded MOT being done tomorrow!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Well, my Mr S delivery came in at £48.09. One slightly more expensive sub..but without it we'd have been without bread.
Total for the month at £251.74/£350. Payday on Friday and no more planned shops in for the week. Nothing needed either. I'll keep a tab on it until Friday though as you never can tell....:p
Meal plan adhered to bar one day last week. I didn't buy anymore lunches after the ridiculously overpriced salad from last Monday and today is a NSD (personal budget) as I decided to work from home.
I love this thread for making me think a bit (nay, a lot) better about what I'm putting in my trolley. Lots of lovely suggestions and even just reading the "check in" posts is reassuring. I may consider a slight decrease in the budget next month. How long til pay day?

Very good luck with the MOT - I dread that day coming round every year. If I won the lottery I would buy a one-year old car and replace it every year
Managed an NSD today
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday
