Spent £72.63 this week, which brings me to £199.88 so far this month  So I am not holding out much hope for staying within my budget this month :o

Unfortunately I took OH shopping with me this morning and he decided that he 'needed' 2 crates of beer  In fairness they were on offer, and they will last as he only has one bottle most nights. I also picked up a large rolled pork shoulder joint in Lidls as they were also on offer. I have put this in the freezer for when we next have a big family get together, as OH usually does a 'hog roast' with a big pork joint on these occasions. It was about half the price we normally pay, so it WILL eventually be a saving :o

Can I make 50 quid last the rest of the month? I ought to be able to, as I have plenty in.....

  • I need to find my receipts and update my signature, but all has gone to pot this week. :(

My car broke and I need a new one. This has meant lots of travelling on buses etc and getting home later which led to ordering takeaway etc... Also silly things like forgetting to take food out of the freezer in time.

I think I might make my target or if not what we have in the freezer will help against next month's!
  • Evening everyone,

Had a few small spends this week on milk etc.

Today went to asd@ and spent £26.47.

Have updated my signature, but will need to do more shopping next week, just waiting for my money to clear into my account.:)

  • I've just gone through and added up my receipts for the month so far and they come to $497.85, sig updated :)
Love people use things. The opposite never works.
  • DH did a shop this morning, mostly for veg (very sweet of him), and we've just scored a huge amount of assorted veg from his parents. :) Sig updated.

I have both my sisters and bro-in-law coming on the weekend, and one sister staying for the weekend. It'll be on the expensive side as BIL is a biiiig eater - but I'm hoping to keep costs down for the rest of this week. I still have one meal to cook from this week's meal plan, and a fair bit of meat in the freezer already, so we might be able to manage on what we have. I'll see how we go.

Off to make a meal plan now! :)

  • Mr T delivered yesterday, updated signature, £41.40. Will last whole week.
Feel I have cheated this month as due to having real old fashioned flu have not been anywhere, even work, so it has been really easy to not spend. Have also not decluttered, cleaned, read, knitted, watched TV. Have infact just laid around and slept or day dreamed and had some very bizarre hallucinations. Was very cross about DS bringing poorly calf into kitchen to warm up! Will be glad to be on the mend soon.

This month is going very well, in thanks mainly to the late decision to work down the freezer contents. Second trip this month to Mr T and am now up to £33.56 for the month.

£20.80 today which includes an absolutely massive chunk of cheddar which will be in part chopped up and/or grated for the freezer. Also 4 tins of Branston beans for less than they had 2 of Heinz on special for.

Went with plain fromage frais this week as they only had the branded big tubs of yoghurt left, so hopefully that'll taste good. Will at some point get the flask out again and restart making my own.
