Got awful toothache, painkillers not helping much :( Will update tomorrow when I (hopefully) feel a bit better. Cannot wait to have this wisdom tooth out which is saying something!

I remember that pain. My wisdom tooth had grown into the tooth next to it and that was what caused the pain....it was also infected. I hope you feel better soon.
  • Please put me down for $1000 for February, my month will start on the 1st.
My budget is for 2 adults, 1 teenager and 2 little ones, it includes dog food, nappies and cleaning supplies. :)
Love people use things. The opposite never works.

    Morning everyone,

Budgets list updated to here :)

    Welcome:
    youngmummy :D

I went to Aldi early on Saturday morning and got lots of store cupboard ingredients, snacks for the gannets that live in my house, plus main meals for this week. Spent £94 which I thought was a lot, but it would have been much much more in Tesco. This week I've just bought some fresh veg and some grated parmesan that they didn't have in Aldi. Think I will make it a weekly visit to Aldi.

DS2's birthday tomorrow so we are out for dinner on Friday - different budget.

Feeling full of head cold today - cotton wool between my ears :( have to go into work later so I'm dosing myself up and drinking copious amounts of tea!

    Have a good day all

  • Quick update - did my Feb shop Monday and yesterday because of the weather forecast. Now it's not as bad as we had feared!!

Have got enough meals in the fridge/freezer for rest of the month and all toiletries cleaning etc. Just need half sack of potatoes and some frozen peas - when there is space for the latter in the freezer. Now need to get a grip of NSDs and make sure I shop on one day a week not nearly every one!!!

Hoping to come in under budget in Feb and if do we may have an extra treat to celebrate!!!
    July 16 £95/£200
    Nov 16 £0/£200

Thanks :) Mine is too big for the space it's in and is not a healthy tooth, it flares up every now and again - boo :( They took the other 3 out years ago but not that one for some reason.

Ah groceries, well yesterday I caved into food cravings and the fact that I was unorganised and bought fish, sausage and chips for myself and the children, they had beans as well. That was £6.25

The day before i spent £13.74 in the supermarket and today another £12.02 (I had £4.49 of PGV) it's DH's birthday on Friday so I am baking a cake tomorrow and I bought a bottle of red to go with the steak on Friday night, and some ale for him. We're going out on Sunday to celebrate and using my 2 month tastecard  :money: that won't come out of the grocery budget though.

    Off to update total.

EDIT I've just realised I am in week 1 and have used up most of my budget already  however a lot of it will carry on through to the next budget and I have bought all the big stuff now still I may end up going over this month but I hope not.

A*di sell parmigiano reggiano in a solid block, which is parmesan, and it keeps well in the fridge to grate as you need ;)

  • Hi all
Have just posted January's failings on that thread was £15 over but am going to go for the same starting feb 1st. I did a big shop yesterday so shouldn't need anything for the first few days anyway so that might stand me in good stead. So target for for feb is £240.00
    Many thanks to all
