Hi, Please can you put me down for £150 for February, 4 weeks so a little less than January, but budgeted a tiny bit more per week as in half term I am sure DD will eat me out of house and home! Almost finished January, £12.25 remaining for top up shop next Saturday so hoping to have some pennies left over.

  • Hi

Please count me in for Feb, going to try a more realistic target for month 2 & see if I can come in under budget instead of feeling gutted that I have gone over :) Its still going to be tight but £45 a week last month seemed impossible so lets see how we get on at £50.

Can I go for £200 for everything running from 1st - 28th...really hope I can do it this month! Have big exciting plans & they are not going to happen if we keep wasting money :j

    Hi all

Need to get back on track and stop spending on easy food and takeaways now I've got most of my movement in my arm back so hoping doing it publicly will help keep me on track.

For the calendar month of February my target is going to be £150, to include food and toiletries/cleaning supplies plus any takeaway or meals out. Might be a bit tight based on what I've been spending recently but in theory should be easy for me to keep to.

I think I'd like to join in if I may. When I tallied up what we had spent on groceries during last year, it shocked me and DH rather. So we decided to put £600 a month into a separate account and have purely spent from this account this month. If we keep to this over the course of the year, we will have saved over £1000!

There is money left over - but some months prove to be more expensive than others. So, our monthly budget is

£600 . This for 2 adults, 2 big eating teenagers and fruit/snacks for my after school childminded children (about 25 portions a week)

A spend of £38.30 today after the £5 off voucher. Only 2 days in and a 1/3 of the budget gone but I'm well stocked up with most things now.

It feels good to have a full fridge and cupboards again :j I'm off to sort the meal plan out :)
