Can I be put down for £125 please
I've already ordered the months meat (plus there's aole veg in there) from Muscle foods for £44 which is;
5kg Chicken Breasts
2 x 5-6oz Peppered British Rump Steaks
• 2 x 400g Lean Diced British Beef
• 2 x 400g Extra Lean British Beef Mince
• 2 x 6oz Great British Hache Steaks
• 4 x 4oz Great British Steak Burgers
• 1 x 1kg Fresh Jacket Potatoes
• 1 x 1kg Fresh Carrots
• 1 x 1kg Fresh Onions
That will be delivered on the 9th Feb I think.
This seems like a brilliant deal - I've just googled muscle foods and it all seems a bit more expensive than you've paid. Did you have a good deal or voucher or something? Thanks for any help you can give me0 -

If you go onto a Facebook page called 'Feed your Family for about £20 a week' they have a discount code. You'll have a scroll down to find it amongst the posts though0 -
Many thanks to Zippy and Co for all the work you do on here.
Just coming in on budget for January. I've toyed with adding more to the budget for Feb as I found it really hard work but decided against it. So can you please put me down for £100 again.
2 adults and 2 dogs.
One quick question:- I cook a lot from scratch, however my DH always wants something sweet after both lunch and dinner. I've been making cakes and biscuits in January. I think it is cheaper to make cakes than to buy them but is it cheaper to buy biscuits or to make them?? - help.0 -
First spend of the month - £18.50 in the butchers/fishmongers (Sausages, Bacon, Pork Belly, Ham Hock, Mince Beef, River Cobbler and Fish Pie Mix) and then £3.70 in Wilkos on Cat Poo Bags and Ear Pokers.
So that's a spend of £22.20/£350 but that's all the meat I'll need for month. Better have a Sunday or portioning up. I've already got some rough meal plans for them all.
Hope everyone has a relaxing Friday evening and start to the weekend. How long til pay day?
March Grocery Challenge - £69.54 / £3000 -
Payday today so I've finally been able to start the Challenge. I've withdrawn £140 cash in the hope that paying for our groceries in actual real money will make us more reluctant to part with it!
Meals have been planned for the next week and a grand total of £34.23 spent in Al*i this afternoon. I went with a shopping list and ticked everything off as I went and even managed to fit a few extras not on the list into the budget.
So far so good, but the hardest part of the challenge is going to be not buying any extras throughout the week and definitely no Cos*a Coffees1st card to go - Aq*a - [STRIKE]£1,600[/STRIKE]/ £1,596.990 -
A spend of £9.60 today on 2 big bags full of shopping, shame I left 1 of them at the counter
I'm hoping they have it when I go back in the morning.
£36/£240
£5522
One step must start each journey
One word must start each prayer
One hope will raise our spirits
One touch can show you care0 -

I find that its cheaper to buy them if you buy the value ranges. By the time you have bought butter, flour, eggs, sugar etc... However, once you already have all of those things, its nice and cheap to keep on making stuff. The same goes for cakes and muffins.
Not only that, but when you make them yourself, you know what's in them and can also tweak them to your liking0 -
Can't believe there are already 4 pages for the Feb challenge. Will go back and read shortly.
I'm in for £250 for the month again - should be a bit easier this month as only 4 weeks!
