£200 for me again this month. Managing January fine - I just make a list and keep to it. Also OH hasn't been able to drive this last month so if I want to shop I have to carry it home which helps a lot to not spend. I shop with a basket in the supermarket instead of a trolley now.

I was really pleased with my frugality yesterday. I forgot to buy hummus and kept meaning to go and buy some. But then I realised that I have all of the ingredients for it, so made some :)
It took no more than 5 mins and tastes lovely :)

Was hoping for a NSD today, but I need to get some black bin bags.

I've decided to go for a target of £100 this month; the plan is to actually spend around £90 on food for within the month, the other £10 is to go towards replenishing various store cupboard items as I am trying to run my cupboards and freezer down as much as possible.

It's not a massive drop from the previous £130; it really on equates to taking wonder bairn's formula out of the budget however I don't want to set the bar too low and be miserable if I miss it completely!

I have my meal plan and am going to write a list of everything needed for each meal then tick off everything we already have in and write the remaining p as a new shopping list...hopefully all this forward planning helps me make some progress!
